Maybe Yeah Yeah Yeahs? Their biggest song is "Maps". Or Atlas Genius.

Would they have zoomed in on Gainesville if it was just about the map though?

Tom Petty is going on tour with his band from before The Heartbreakers. Mudcrutch. Though right now he only has dates in April.
Edited to say that I was looking at an article from 2008. they are not playing in April but are playing in May.

I feel like Bunbury is better than giving a hint just based off of where the band is from.

Would they have zoomed in on Gainesville if it was just about the map though? Hmmm...I'm gonna take this a step further. It's actually centered on Payne's Prairie Reserve. Maybe that's the actual point of the clue?

I feel like Bunbury is better than giving a hint just based off of where the band is from. well think about some of them thus far. Some have been painfully easy. So I wouldn't rule anything out.

Maybe Yeah Yeah Yeahs? Their biggest song is "Maps". Or Atlas Genius. I could definitely get behind the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

I would agree. I compared the same exact map in Google maps to the tweet, they are exactly the same. I was looking for maybe a name they added or removed, or something out of place. It's literally just a map of Gainesville (Or Payne's Prairie Preserve if you think they purposely put the center of the image on that).

Less Than Jake would be cool. They're the first listed on that Google search link.

Did some research on Florida. It's the 35th smartest state, so don't think Genius applies here. Did some research on the University of Florida (in Gainesville), and they are the 47th best university in the US. Now if this was a map of Boston, I would think it's Atlas Genius.

JJ Grey It isn't pictured on the map but Lochloosa wildlife preserve is right under Hawthorne on the right side of the map
That is one of their signature songs

I would really like Boston. If they could book them and then post that Hive Hint I would be 100% ok with that.

I would be equally excited for YYYs or Tom Petty. I doubt it's Petty b/c he would most likely be a headliner, and I doubt they are hinting towards headliners.

Against Me! is at Governors Ball, and Hundred Waters is at Bonnaroo That's the answer...it's gotta be Against Me! So many of the hints/bands lean towards Governor's ball acts.

Has anyone thought maybe it could be The Districts? Also, unrelated, would it matter that the highway through the whole picture is 75?

I just saw Mudcrutch is playing the Summer Camp Festival in Illinois the weekend before Bunbury. Would make sense that it might be them.

I looked at their setlist from the last time they toured in 2008 and there are no Tom Petty stuff on there. Just Mudcrutch songs and some other covers. It should be noted that they are not a headliner at Summer Camp Festival. The headliners are moe and Umphrey's McGee So even though Tom Petty is huge, he may not necessarily count as a headliner.
