With the removal of the pavilion stage, I really thought that Sawyer Point would become the main stage this year. Me too. I feel like there is more space and the sight lines are way better. I'm pretty bummed about the whole schedule announcement today.

The more I look at this schedule the more pissed off I get. With fewer bands this year, there is no reason for there to be so many head to head conflicts with higher end acts. I'm getting increasingly pissed too. Tough decisions for Dear Hunter, Pvris, Mowglies, J Roddy, The Wombats, and X Ambassabors. It's like they took all the undercards I liked and said fuck you. im gonna be walking around bored for half of the festival and be sprinting for two hours trying to catch the bands I like.

There is almost nobody opposite of an act on the main stage at all. The flow through the fest is going to suck, I can already tell.

I've been to festivals where they do this thing with the main stage acts. The flow is always a giant cluster you-know-what. Either a HUGE flow of people all trying to funnel into one direction or it's 2 large groups going against each other trying to get somewhere.

What time is everyone heading down on Friday? What's the first act you are going for?

What time is everyone heading down on Friday? What's the first act you are going for? I'm coming in Thu so I plan to be there for Lydia on the main stage at 1:30 Fri. It looks like my solution is going to be to stay by the YC and River stages the first two days, then go to the SP stage for most of Sun. It's not ideal but will avoid a lot of traffic problems.

I might take the morning off too, but a lot will depend on workflow that week. I plan on some back and forth, and I'm hoping that VIP will alleviate the need to leave some sets early to get a decent place for another.

I am working a half-day on Friday (as of now) so I won't be able to hit the festival until probably like 3 or 4 sadly. Wilk and Misky is who I wanted to see but that might not be happening unfortunately.

I'm off Friday as well. Will probably start tailgating around 11-11:30. Will go in at 1:30 to see Lydia. Then Shelters, Dear Hunter, Mowgli's, Wombats, X Anbassadors, Haim, and The Killers.

Not yet....I'm just going in with the assumption that something will work out between now and then. If it's the week of, I will start stressing more. ha Thank you for asking.

We ended up walking to OTR after the show on Friday. I can't remember the bar, but they had an indoor grill and it was literally the best food of my life based on my level of drunkenness at the time. hahaha

Does anyone know why the gates open only at 1 pm on Friday? With the first band going on at 1;15 pm (which happens to be my daughter's band LEGGY) and the wristbands an untested brand new entrance thing, this sounds like a looming recipe for disaster to me.
