What's the Foo Fighter rumor? I wouldn't put much stake into it bc I think they're in Germany during bunbury Yes. They are playing two different shows in Germany the weekend of June 1-3.

They heard me last year when I said if they don't cut back on rap and EDM and go back to more indie, I was no longer buying VIP and was switching festivals. If there isn't much rap/EDM I will no longer be buying VIP and switching festivals I'd guess you are in the minority OK. That would explain why attendance was way down last year when they loaded up on rap and EDM.

I've seen Frank Turner more times than I can count but I'd gladly see him again. He doesn't have any American shows scheduled right now. But he is coming over June 4th to play a show in Mexico. He could show up and play Friday or Saturday night if he wanted to. I mean, he never misses a chance to play an Ohio show. The guy has the state of Ohio tattooed on his arm for God's sake. lol

I like some hip hop but EDM does nothing for me. My media connections who got me the lineup early ever year (as some people on this board can verify) told me that Promowest told them that they were very happy with the reaction to the EDM/Hip Hop portion of the festival and planned on continuing with it. Having said that, they certainly haven't hinted at anybody in that range, so my hope is up that it's going back to more of an indie majority, but I won't believe it for sure until the lineup release.

Same boat. I like some rap. My girl and I will leave early during EDM every time. Am I not right that attendance was down last year? I don't know if there are "Official" numbers. I only know what I read in a couple articles from last year that said attendance was down. Why would they be happy with that?

They don't release attendance figures so who knows what the real answer is there. My guess is people were just guessing. I didn't go last year so I wasn't able to see with my own eyes if it seemed lower than usual.

Again like like what said before, that could be completely wrong.

"organizers said the fest drew 46,000 over three days, for the second-biggest crowd in the event's short history." According to Cincinnati.com, 2015 drew 54,000 and 2016 drew 43,000. If 2017 drew 46,000 then it was a step in the right direction but still down from 2015.

On the other hand it showed that they really weren't ready or set up properly for such a large crowd. That could be part of the reason a lot of people stayed home in 2016 as opposed to the lineup. I could see a lot of people choosing to go to a different festival and waiting a year to see if Bunbury gets all of the particulars worked out to make everything run a bit more smoothly.

I went in 2015 to Bonnaroo and 2016 to Bunbury and I actually enjoyed the smaller crowd size. Nothing ever seemed too crowded, where at Bonnaroo if you are in the middle of the crowd for an act on the main stage. It'll take you 20 minutes to get out of there and back into Centeroo.

Yeah, I’m so conflicted with Bunbury because I want it to get bigger, so we can get the best acts, but I also love not standing in line for a fucking hour to get food or water.

Yeah there's always negatives about festivals the size of Bonnaroo, the first year I went was 2008 we waited on the side of the street to get in for over 8 hours. At least they have made that a little better.

I completely forgot that we left at like noon from Columbus on the Wednesday and got to the back road that you take to get in right before the sunset. We didn't get to our campsite until 5am. Waited longer on that back road than the trip driving down there. Thankfully someone warned us to stop and get gas at a few exits before we got there and stock up on fluids and food. That was kind of my worst nightmare but everything after that was fun haha.
