If Bassnectar and Pretty Lights moved tickets last year why is it that crazy to think the Chainsmokers would be a headliner? I get there is a difference in quality of the music but Chainsmokers are huge right now and would get a bunch of people to buy tickets. Basnnectar and PL Live is much respected in the EDM world whereas Chainsmokers are not. They are radio pop and will be a sellout for Bunbury. They will sell tickets & I'm not surprised they headline fests cause they are so popular. But they will for sure lose all their previous EDM fans which Bunbury has relied on over the past few years. This will also introduce the under 21s to this fest and is it's just not in line really with the roots of the fest. So we shall see the route they go. I would assume most people who have enjoyed this fest in the past would take this lineup as a complete and utter joke/death of the culture of this fest. |

Okay, so I completely agree that The Chainsmokers are the Nickelback of EDM, just to be clear. However, I saw them at Bonnaroo in 2016 and gave them a chance and their live set was actually enjoyable. They definitely aren't comparable to Deadmau5 (2016) or Bassnectar (2017) but at least give them a shot. Also, I highly recommend going to watch Griz. I saw him at Bogart's and it was one hell of a show!

Fest Girl kinda sounds convincing I just can't wrap my ahead around 2 TERRIBLE headliners. I understand preferences but usually everyone is happy with at least two of them. I guess strong undercards will sell too but probably the year I skip if this is true. What a disappointment. Soooo...the positive thing is that D&^%smokers and blink probably absolutely cost less money than arctic monkeys and therefor they could cover with a much better mid-tier selection? Just throwing it out there I'm think thats what PW did. Booked terrible headliners that will sell tix still but keep the true fans there with great undercards. hmmm don't love this model though it's like they forgot there are other great fest with actual headliners. I think chainsmokers is like the cheapest act to book. |

This was me when they first added EDM and rap to Bunbury and went away from their roots of indie music...however it's the under cards that bring me back usually and not the Wiz Khalifa's or Deadmau5's of the world. As much as I'd like the Mike lineup to be right, at least the festival girl line up means shorter beer lines and I'll still enjoy some Jack White and the under cards. |

Could have gotten Big Gigantic, Galantis, Alison Wonderland, Girl Talk, Marshmello, Illenium, Jai Wolf, Crywolf, Slushii, White Panda, etc. etc. literally sooo many better options. |

Cheap acts that sell well does seem like a good strategy but I do think it is at somewhat of a cost. Because it's not really good value for the customers that have supported the festival for years, it's a pretty low sellout move. BUTTTTTT I still have faith. There were plenty of acts on last years lineup that were extremely subpar and I still had a good time for the most part. |

I was honestly so relieved last year when we dodged chance the rapper, chainsmokers & twenty one pilots. I was so proud of Bunbury and now this? the year after. I just wish the chainsmokers were not relevant anymore. I honestly don't know why they are lol.
