Looking at the bunbury app, i'm honestly shocked at the rankings of the artists based on number of people Blink - 1,311 Foster the people - 1,209 Polesmokers - 1,109 Post Malone - 1,094 Third Eye Blind - 996 Young the Giant - 932 Fitz and the Tantrums - 840 Incubus - 813 Jack White - 718 Manchester Orchestra - 558 Maybe PromoWest knows more than we gave them credit for. I could care less for Blink 182 personally, know literally zero songs from Post Malone and haven't heard great things about Chainsmokers live but it looks like those are very popular acts.... I think this just sorta proves the type of crowd that will be attending...toddlers who listen to the radio. As to Jack being so low, Idk maybe since he has 2 other dates in Ohio and given such terrible headliners it's definitely not worth even a 1-day for a short festival slot. I think Jack was a poor booking when you look at the fest as a whole. But nice try Bunbury.

Given what appears to be the market the bunbury/promowest is attempting to lure in, Jack White and Incubus seem like outliers and I'm shocked that they're even in the top ten schedule by people. Also, keep in mind that this is a small subset of people attending bunbury since only about 1,000 people are recorded out of the estimated 45k expected to be there

You look at the 2 outliers of the top 2 lines. And then combine them with the rest of the undercard. and I'm confused why people are trying to act like this is a Morning Zoo top 40 festival. It isn't that at all. It just happens to have some of those acts in the top billing spots. haha and coincidently the top 40 type people are the ones also most likely to be on that app adding favorite acts and what not while most of the festival goers are now probably only going to download it for the schedule and stuff when all that stuff comes out, which isn't going to be for awhile still most likely.

I definitely do not see this as a top 40 festival...that's cochella and always has been. I don't think there's any doubt that if the headliners (in the popular opinion shared by most people on this board) were stronger, it would be a ridiculously good festival. But take a look around this year. The festival circuit as a whole doesn't have that many AMAZING headlining artists. Not every single festival can share headliners. Looking at all the other festivals, this is the year of the undercard. Just find a festival that has the most artists that you want to see.

Andrew McMahon has Bunbury listed for June 2. just saw that! I see him list it as part of his "pen and piano tour" which he said he will get up all tell stories about songs and play some songs that dont get played as much. As much as i would love this (as im a huge fan) i dont see him doing this at a festival Dang. If he plays konstantine at Bunbury and I miss it...I might cry

Oh, I know that...but the acoustic tour did mention that he'll play songs that don't get played much.

other than artists walking around at the festival (which ive seen a few explore the grounds early in the day when they have a night set) does anyone know of ways to meet artists? I know sometimes they have those booth where random artists will hang out to sing stuff, but i'm more interested if anyone has inside secret details

Post Malone just announced Cle show 6.2 at Jacobs Pavilion with 21 Savage. Hopefully Bunbury can add 21 to the bill that would be stellar , and with Postie rocking out @ Gov Ball on Fri this makes him a lock for Sunday, Cocksmokers def playing Sat, I am hoping that they have Incubus booked for Sat night same time as cocksmokers.

Sunday is Jack White/Post Malone then. I'd assume all of those top 5 on the bill will play pretty much unopposed, with either Young the Giant or Foster the people closing down sawyer one night. It seems like they'll really be pushing the 3 day passes this year. Just checked the incubus website and they have all 3 days listed so no word which day they'll be playing. Also whoever created the thread, can you make a confirmed list of who's playing which day on the first page? or maybe we could do another google doc?

Their older music was good but now he's a washed up drug addict that gets absolutely wasted on stage and goes on soapbox rants about nothing

Reminds me of Cal Scruby from 2016. It was pouring down rain and he was on stage screaming about anything he could and drinking a bottle of ciroc. ciroc....the sign of a class act it was rather classy. the best part was that while it was raining (and if you remember saturday in 2016, it poured) they left their laptop on stage so it got soaked. In order to keep the show going, his DJ just used spotify and an aux cord with his phone. Absolute shit show but it was funny

It was probably my favorite memory from 2016.
