There issue is probably wanting to find a replacement but knowing they are refunding all this money anyway. It's too late to book anyone big enough to merit someone purchasing a Friday ticket so it's like they are spending money to lose money just to appease people and most likely half of the people will complain about the replacement anyway since it's not Blink and will not be Blink level artist. But that being said it is a nice gesture to replace lol so I do hope they do it just out of good practices and to show they are trying.

Still necessary to get people back for next year

However over on the blink-182 subreddit, nobody seems to be shocked that they cancelled. I guess this happens too often with Blink

So, holy crap did I have some catching up to do! Not that my thoughts are needed at this point, you guys have it all pretty well covered. I was going to enjoy Blink but they certainly weren't ones we bought the tickets for and they wouldn't bring us back in 2019 on their own. We were going to leave their set early to get over to YTG anyway.
I'd say it'd be preferable to book another act, clearly. Joywave would be great. Any time their stuff comes up on my Spotify, my husband and I usually have a "wish they were playing Bunbury" moment. Walk the Moon would be good too. Modest Mouse would be my top option, though...but I think that was the one someone said probably has a radius clause that would keep them out, which is a bummer. Whatever happened to Big Data? If they're out and around anywhere, they would be fun too. If they can't book and they won't move other times to open up some conflicts, then my solution is - have YTG start early and let them play a full set. You guys, they're fucking amazing live. I don't care if it's the same exact concert set list that we saw in Cbus last year, I would HAPPILY experience that again.

Do you all think they should be offering some money back or something for 3 day ticket holders as well. Because of course their are some on social media who are pissed that they aren't.

No. It's just one artist and there are 2 full days that remain unchanged. Sure it's a "headliner" but it's a 7:30 time slot. If blink is the ONLY reason that you are going to the fest, and not going to see any other artist, I think you have misunderstood what a festival is meant for. I totally agree that it's a bummer that they canceled, but I do not feel it warrants a refund for anyone. I feel the refund on the 1 days is overly generous.

Julien would be good but she was just at Homecoming. I think they need to do whatever they can in these circumstances if they want this festival to continue. It has only gotten better since the inception and this year was already a switch to a lineup that wasn't consistent with past headliners upsetting some but taking a risk to branch off into more mainstream profitable acts and it looked early on to be working out but anything like this puts a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of people regardless of it it was their fault or not they should do what they can to not lose customers.

im sure blink will have to take a hit on dropping out so late. they should use this money to maybe give everyone a drink voucher or something since im sure they will not do anything to replace them.
