-Fall Out Boy Wikipedia Overview: Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, lead guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The band originated from Chicago's hardcore punk scene, with which all members were involved at one point. The group was formed by Wentz and Trohman as a pop punk side project of the members' respective hardcore bands, and Stump joined shortly thereafter. The group went through a succession of drummers before landing Hurley and recording the group's debut album, Take This to Your Grave (2003). The album became an underground success and helped the band gain a dedicated fanbase through heavy touring, as well as some moderate commercial success. Take This to Your Grave has commonly been cited as an influential blueprint for pop punk music in the 2000s. The boxer's name is Glass Joe. He has a glass jaw. Thus, Glassjaw.

Would The National headline festivals in the city in consecutive years?
Edit: They have an album named Boxer for those unaware.

Cage the Elephant have a song called Punchin' Bag Personally, I feel like if they were hinting at that, it’d be picture of an boxer hitting an actual punching bag. Still hoping for Cage the Elephant, though.

Are they back to playing? Wasn’t their drummer in a serious accident?

My first thought was fall out boy. Could see a reference to sugar we’re going down.
Going down, down in an earlier round(looks like a 2nd round knockout.)
And sugar we’re going down swinging(throwing punches)

Cage is coming out with a new song on Thursday. So certainly would be appropriate to also announce they are a headliner for a festival the same day no?

Mac DeMarco was suggested on Facebook. (Little Mac in the picture)
I feel confident it's him.
Fallout Boy also seems like a probability.

I don't know if Glass Animals are back to touring form yet. I know the drummer's been recovering really well but I think he had to pretty much relearn some things due to the severity of the accident. I would think if anything they are making new music but haven't heard a word about them doing any shows or anything yet. But I would love for them to be there.

Fall Out Boy's second and (mostly) first album were the business back in the day.

Are they back to playing? Wasn’t their drummer in a serious accident? I didn't know about that. It was just my first thought. Glassjaw would make sense though they are playing a festival in England the weekend before Bunbury and then have some dates in and around Portugal later in June. The only show they have in America right now is Aug 16th in Las Vegas.

Mac DeMarco is playing in Barcelona the same weekend as Bunbury. As is Aaron Dresser of The National (Big Red Machine)

Fall Out Boy's second and (mostly) first album were the business back in the day. Agreed. Take this to your grave was an amazing album and from under the cork tree was solid. I saw them a couple years ago and unfortunately they only did a song or two off of take this to your grave and focused mainly on newer music.

I would love it if Bunbury signed them to play with the promise of them playing an "old school" FOB setlist. I know that would never happen but that would take my excitement for them from a 2 to a 9.

The thing with both the National and Mac Demarco is that they both need to be back in the states for bonnaroo. If we had the days for that festival in Spain that’d help us out a lot. I could see it being the National. The boxer album and round 2 maybe meaning their second time playing the fest. They seem to be repping Cincinnati a little more lately and their live show has become an absolute well oiled machine, would be happy to have them

I could mildly see Fall Out Boy as a headliner because though they did headline Bunbury five years ago, they have performed at other music festivals in the past and as far as I know, they do not have anything scheduled that weekend. Another thought I had was Weezer since they have a song titled "Can't Knock the Hustle" and it's been awhile since they've performed at Bunbury. They're free that weekend and finish their US Tour in April. They fly out to the UK mid-June for the remainder of the summer.
Despite these thoughts, Bunbury in past years has rarely released headliners in the hints, but we will have to see once Thursday arrives

The Killers - Tyson vs Douglas

Put these two ideas under long shots
The Punch Brothers (Played Forecastle last year, but Bunbury hasn't been booking many country/americana type acts lately) Five Finger Death Punch (A bit heavy for Bunbury, but if we are right about Clutch, they would fit in too)

I'd be cool seeing them a third time in two years, and I like this logic.

The Killers - Tyson vs Douglas It'd be surprising for them to drop in a headliner but I'd support this. They were awesome a few years ago. I think it's a longshot they'd be back already but I don't think a lot of people would have an issue with them coming back.

Big Red Machine is playing Wednesday May 29th. Mac DeMarco is playing on Thursday May 30th. Plenty of time for either one of them to play Bunbury.
