Went to the CD 102.5 holiday show last night and I want to toss K. Flay in for Bunbury 2020. She was GOOD and really got the crowd going. There were evidently a lot of people there just to see her as at least 1/4 of the place left as soon as she finished. For those familiar with the venue, you could walk right up to the gate overlooking the pit with no one bugging you. I wouldn't call it "emtpy" but there were not a lot of people for Silversun Pickups Really annoyed with myself that I didn't get tickets for that show. I've been wanting to see her for awhile now. I would have probably been one of those people that left after her though. Silversun Pickups don't do anything for me. lol I could see her being on the lineup and all of us immediately knowing she'd be the top candidate for "artist that's entirely too big to be on the Riverstage and will overflow the crowd" Silversun Pickups seem like a really weak headliner for a holiday show. The ones here in Indy usually have someone like Chvrches, Portugal the man, Vance Joy, Evanescence, or Jimmy Eat World with someone like Silversun pickups as a support act. Agreed on the river stage overflow. That absolutely seems like something they would do. She'd be a very nice addition to the undercard though.

Sorry if it has been mentioned already, but has a lineup release date been announced yet for Bunbury? If I recall correctly, it is usually sometime in January but wasn't sure if anyone has heard anything. Seems like they are always one of the last summer festivals to put their lineup out.

Brittany Howard tour dates don't take her anywhere near Cincinnati. This has forecastle written all over it but I'd like to see her at Bunbury

I feel like she's a lock for one of the two festivals and I agree Forecastle seems like a no brainer, but who knows. I expect to see her on a lot of lineups this year

I consider Silversun to be greater than all those other bands combined.

Juice Wrld, who was set to be #7 at Hangout Fest and who I considered to be a possible top rap artist at Bunbury has died after a sudden seizure at the Chicago Airport.

Tame Impala looks like a lock for Governors Ball. Playing Montreal on the 3rd and then DC on the 6th, with no NY date on the schedule. Could potentially hit Cincy on the 7th before going to down Charlotte on the 8th. Unlikely, but still possible

Word is Tame will be at Bonnaroo as well and people are also speculating Firefly. No dates anywhere close to Cinci/Columbus/Louisville/Indy, so there's definitely an opening that way. Forecastle would be tight dates wise, so I'm thinking its unlikely they get Tame. A Louisville date sandwiched between Minneapolis and St. Louis doesn't make much logistical sense.

Tame could be Bunbury’s Friday night headliner. Why not? Not so sure he fits in with the Bunbury crowd, but there’s a sensible slot there.

That'd certainly be a great #1, and I agree its very possible considering Tame is not coming anywhere nearby. I'd be very happy with that booking. I'll also be very curious to see how this arena tour sells.

I think Tame at this point would be a smash booking for bunbury they’ve gotten extremely popular. Other than last years warped tour angle tame would very much fit a bunbury crowd, considering they played in 2015. Tame is one of very few acts I think people of all age ranges would get very excited for which is always a good booking

I've listened to them a few times but just never gotten into them. On an off note, if they book f'ing mason ramsey (the 8 year old cowboy kid), i'll run myself over with a car

On a somewhat random note: I saw that Otherworld is now getting some bookings for DJs with MyBestFriendsParty and they booked freaking A-Trak. I haven't been out there yet to check out the exhibit overall but was curious if anyone's be there to just see it or gone to a show out there. I'm very intrigued by that.

Milky Chance just announced a major US tour. They'll be in Louisville in May which rules out Forecastle, but no CInci or Columbus dates. Seems like a good possibility.

They feel like an act that'll have a show in Columbus the same weekend as Bunbury and double up on Cinci and Columbus or swing back through and also hit up Wonderbus later in the summer along with Bunbury. We should start somewhere where we can make a list of "likely" vs "not likely" or "Out".

He's 8 and singing a song about being attractive to what appears to be an 16 year old woman.

What gets me even more is that he played a show at a major venue here in Indy, and I knew quite a few people who actually nought tickets and went. I was floored that people in my demographic (young professionals, mid to late 20s, living in an urban area) would actually be enjoy this. And at least two of them weren't doing it as a joke or to be ironic, they actually LIKE this stuff. Glad to know I'm not crazy for seeing this for the garbage that it is.

I doubt they'd do it since they have de-emphasized EDM/DJ stuff the past few years but bringing in Kaskade and having him do a Redux set midday on Saturday would be really cool.

Girl Talk was #13 at Bonnaroo on Friday alone (so like 39th overall) one spot above AJR. Kaskade was #10 at Roo in 2018, so that'd be headliner material by those standards. But then again, Bunbury's standards do change year to year so who knows.

Starting to talk myself into the idea of RHCP at number 1. Probably got to be pretty expensive but I think it’d be cool to see them back with Frusciante
