Starting to talk myself into the idea of RHCP at number 1. Probably got to be pretty expensive but I think it’d be cool to see them back with Frusciante Actually I think they'll be overseas that weekend. oh just kidding then!

Did anyone see the Inkcarceration lineup? Limp Bizkit, Weezer, and Blink headlining. Weezer seems odd, because it's more of a hard rock festival.
Also, wonder if being in Mansfield in July eliminates them.

Honestly, I wouldn't think they'd book anyone from the first three lines other than Blink and Weezer. But then again there were quite a few curve balls last year so who knows.

Can anyone recall offhand what VIP was this year? It’s $448 after fees next year — I feel like it was closer to $350.
EDIT: Nevermind. Looks like it was $420 or so. Didn’t go up as much as I thought.

I'm a huge fan but they were just at Bogart's this weekend after being at Riverfront Live a few months ago. Three Cincinnati dates in a year might be pushing it. They just wrapped up their tour, both Cincinnati shows were one-offs before and after tour.

Surprised we dont have any information by now. doesnt lineup usually drop in january? We don't know a lot for sure yet, but we have quite a bit to go on. We have eliminated a lot of suspected headliners (Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Vampire Weekend and others) and we know that MCR is a definite possibility. We also know what undercard acts are going to potentially be releasing new music and touring, and who has gaps in their schedule. When I have some time (probably this weekend) I'll comb through some stuff and put together a good comprehensive list of possibilities, maybe even a mock up just to see how close I can get

I'm trying to not get too excited about the possibility of MCR in case it doesn't pan out but it seems very likely. This year I'm likely going to be working all weekend doing photography for iHeart and shooting MCR would be such a dream come true for me.

Hive Hints kicked off on January 7th last year. Lineup dropped January 31st. We got the leak a few days before. I think we can expect a similar timeline.

I was thinking it started earlier, don't mind me. Oops. Didn't someone say Jan 23rd for the lineup announcement this year? I know it's probably not confirmed because I haven't seen anything from Bunbury yet. Last year was on a Thursday so the 23rd or 30th would make sense if we follow the same pattern. I don't have a show booked on either of those dates yet so I'm down to go to the party again and report back.

Bunbury is pretty consistent with their lineup announcements. If I remember correctly, they typically give us the lineup release date when the Hive Hints start dropping. The 6th is a Monday this year so that seems like a good time for them to start.

This doesn't mean they're not booked at all though if I remember correctly, could be in the 4-5th slot.

It is possible they could be in the 4 or 5 slot, but based on their billing at other festivals and prestige, I'd think they'd have to be top 3 at a festival Bunbury's size. I'd be very impressed if Bunbury could afford three acts that could be billed above VW. Anything is possible, but after last year's headliners, I consider them unlikely but still possible.

They are playing Stage AE in Pittsburg June 3rd (a Promowest Venue) with nothing again until the 12th. It makes so much sense for them to do Bunbury right after that, but I just can't get past the fact that we know they are definitely not a headliner.Of course, I suppose that could be wordplay in the sense that Blink 182 was not a "headliner" but appeared on the top line. I suppose it could be a situation like that where Vampire Weekend is billed on the top line but actually does 7/7:30 slot on the Monster stage or maybe closes out Sawyer Point if they book a bigger act that specific day, like 2018. The more I think about it, the more I think they actually are still possible.

Realistically speaking, I can't think of three bigger acts that Bunbury could afford that would put Vampire Weekend at 4 or lower

Foster the People didn’t headline a couple years ago, and they were (and are now) pretty big. So I could see them closing Yeatman’s. Nevermind. It finna be Lizzo — RHCP — My Chemical Romance — Vampire Weekend.

We know they are headlining Shaky Knees, were in talks with Bonnaroo, and I bet they're at other US festivals as well. Personally, I'd think they'd be more of a Forecastle get, but who knows. If Forecastle booked Cage the Elephant as a headliner, The Strokes would seem kind of redundant for that genre.
