MoPop’s going to be The 1975 and The Strokes — my bet at least.
Hey, I was right about last year at least.

Has anyone tried messaging or tweeting the Bunbury account to ask about Hive Hints? I have bugged them in previous years, so didn't really want to bug them again lol. Seems like the typical answer in the past was "soon".

Seems like the typical answer in the past was "soon". I'll shoot them a message. We got the first one on January 7th last year, January 15th in 2018 and January 10th in 2017. Based on those dates, I think we can probably expect them to begin next week or perhaps the week after.

Based on what my source told me a few months back, the announcement party is tentatively scheduled for January 23rd. As far as the hive hints go, I've been told that they have a different person doing it each year which is why some years are super obvious and others are much harder. They also mentioned that they don't view it as something super important even though we all believe it generates at least a modest amount of hype.

Based on everyone having My Chemical Romance as a lock for Coachella and them not being on the lineup, I think if they are at Bunbury they are one of the top 3 headliners. Probably would fill the spot of Blink/FOB.

Probably would fill the spot of Blink/FOB. According to Alex Young from CoS they dropped out of Coachella due to billing placement on the poster. They were expected to be a co-headliner or #2 on their day according to most of the rumors. I’d say it’s safe to say they’re only playing festivals if they’re a headliner.

I think AC Entertainment is running that festival. They are about to learn a lesson when Blink drops out 2 days before the festival lol

After a lot of social media teasing with deleting all their posts and turning their website black, Grouplove appears to be ready to launch new music. They posted a clip of a new song and some album art, and there is a new landing page with an email list signup in place of the black page on their website. I'm super excited, and think there is a great possibility of us getting them.

And as stated before, 2020 is the 10th anniversary of their major label debut.
So let's chalk up Foxy Shazam as a probably 7PM act.

Still hoping for AvA and (much less likely) Sum 41. I still believe My Chemical Romance and Lizzo will be a pair of the Bunbury headliners. Maybe with Tame as the third. I’d love that. Great mix of genres.
Friday: MCR Saturday: Lizzo Sunday: Tame

Great mix of genres. Friday: MCR Saturday: Lizzo Sunday: Tame IIRC, Whitney's source said Lizzo is not headlining. Tame Impala and MCR still seem very possible. Whit's source did say MCR was working with Promowest to do a show at one of their venues, or more likely, Bunbury. With the hype that there has been for this reunion, I'd think Bunbury is the more obvious choice because it would be a HUGE boost to ticket sales and because their biggest venue Express Live is likely too small for the crowd they'd pull. But then again they've booked the Killers and Jack White there, so who knows.

I highly doubt they will be. Again, Lizzo is not headlining. Tame is expected to headline Bonnaroo and I don't see us sharing a headliner with Roo. Of these 3, I think MCR is the most likely.

CTE is rumored for Forecastle as well, but I wouldn't be shocked if Bunbury gets them. I think The Strokes are a possibility as well, and The Lumineers if they are not on the Gov Ball lineup

I’d be bummed if The Lumineers were to headline. I don’t know. Just such a bland band. I know others say that about Tame though. Opinions, yo.
And as far Lizzo being “confirmed” out, I’ll wait until the lineup. I just know I personally would much prefer Lizzo over virtually any big rap act out there right now, outside of Post ... but he was just there in ‘18, so I’d think it safe to consider him out.

I’ve been blessed so as to receive a little bit of information this year, don’t count on Tame. I’ve seen 2 of the top 3 on here, but the last one is fairly obvious and I haven’t seen them mentioned. If I could spoil I would but my source was adamant on keeping it under this year because of last years early leak

Please check that one out. I'd love to know if we're at least in the right ballpark or completely off base. Also, have any of this year's headliners headlined previously?

I wish RHCP would be there, no way Bunbury can grab that after last years sales/lineup however. Unfortunately I don’t have enough of the lineup myself to compare to the mock. As for genres of the headliners - It’s a good mix of pop/hip-hop and rock. They seem to be moving away from the EDM and heavy rap scene. I will say the third headliner may not be everyone’s cup of tea, they just got off a big well received tour but I still see a lot of hate

Big well received tour but could still get a lot of hate? Sounds like Twenty One Pilots. EDIT: Could also be Panic! At the Disco
