I wish RHCP would be there, no way Bunbury can grab that after last years sales/lineup however. Unfortunately I don’t have enough of the lineup myself to compare to the mock. As for genres of the headliners - It’s a good mix of pop/hip-hop and rock. They seem to be moving away from the EDM and heavy rap scene. I will say the third headliner may not be everyone’s cup of tea, they just got off a big well received tour but I still see a lot of hate I’m interested by this, is this a newer or up and coming act?

I was thinking Twenty One Pilots, but maybe someone who has gotten really big really fast and isn’t really considered a “headliner” yet? Kinda like Greta Van Fleet last year

I’m guessing Mumford & Sons That's a good guess too. I wouldn't expect them to get too much hate, but who knows. I'd be happy with them.

Mumford def feels like they fit the bill for that third act. That tour sold really well but I know people either LOVE them or are very MEH on them (like myself). I’m going to guess My Chemical Romance, Mumford & Sons and ..... Panic at the Disco. We havent really mentioned any other pop/hip hop people have we?

I hope he's not, and I know he was just there, but it makes a LOT of sense when you think about it.. Major arena tour hitting every part of North America, but no dates in Columbus, Cinci, or Louisville. He was a major reason Bunbury sold out in 2018, and drew the biggest crowd most of us had ever seen at the festival. Not to mention he has headlined all of AEG's other festival's and is headlining Hangout. Other possible rap headliners: Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Tyler the Creator, Travis Scott Hell, we haven't talked about Travis Scott at all and he just got off a major tour and would probably get quite a bit of hate.

First off, Fuck Post Malone. That idiot and his shitty, thieving fans damn near ruined Bunbury 2018.
Twenty One Pilots would be a great headliner. I'm in the Lane Boy video they filmed at Bunbury 2015.

I'm in the Lane Boy video they filmed at Bunbury 2015. I don't want him either and I genuinely hope I'm wrong. But it sounds like we will have a rap headliner and he seems to be a logical choice. Unless we get someone like Lil Wayne or Tyler. the Creator

I haven't really been participating in speculation the last week or two because I was lucky enough to get a peak at the lineup. They, uuuuhhh, spent a lot more money on booking, this year.
My source didn't give me the entire lineup, just headliners and a couple he'd confirmed off the undercard, but it's a good mix. There's one headliner I haven't seen mentioned at all in this thread. Could easily be a mix of each genre every day but seems like they could be going back to the format of having a rock, alt/pop, and hip hop/EDM day.

Travis Scott fans are worse than Post fans. I hope he doesn't come near Cincinnati. When he played Reading and Leeds, a few of my friends were on barricade waiting for Fall Out Boy, and Travis Scott fans were purposely getting violent and shoving them against the barrier with their whole weight to try to make them leave. One of my friends literally cracked a rib from it, she went to urgent care the next day when it still hurt. I know of at least one other festival where his set was cut and he was forced off-stage because his fans got out of control. No thanks.

I could do Twenty One Pilots. I can’t do PATD. But honestly I think if MCR is a headliner, adding one of the other two is asking for a miserable crowd of people to show up.

The headliner nobody has guessed is someone I remember being thrown around as a possibility when we were speculating on 2019's lineup. When I say they spent a lot more money - a LOT more. This is gonna sell out and probably quickly.

Wondering if they'll do a top 5 kind of deal like they have done in the past or go back to just a top 3. Really hoping for Glass Animals. I also feel like they usually do a decent job of getting someone RIGHT before they really blow up. They had Post Malone right before people were putting him as a headliner. Greta Van Fleet and The 1975 last year are definitely acts that are right at that level of becoming a headliner probably too (if not already at some festivals outside of Bunbury).

I know we jokingly said Fleetwood Mac but I'll believe it when I see it with an act that big being there, that includes McCartney too.

Well, that demolished my theory of Post Malone, Black Keys, and MCR. I’m gonna have to do some real thinking and adjusting to my mock-up

I was only given three headliners and a handful of undercard who wouldn't be top five. With how expensive those three were, I'd guess it's just top three again unless someone they booked for cheap blows up between now and June - but I don't have the full lineup so I can't say 100%.

I doubt it's Paul McCartney. He plays in France on May 26th, The Netherlands on May 29th, and back in France on June 7th. I can't imagine someone like him taking a red eye back to Cincinnati to play a festival and then going right back to France. Other headliners we talked about last year were Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend.

That certainly does fit the hints Steve gave us, they would help sell out the festival no doubt From what I was told, Foo Fighters are 100% NOT on this years lineup. I asked my source before the 2019 lineup came out and this summer, and got the same response. For the past 15 years or so, they've never had a good relationship with Promowest and they don't even try to book them. No idea what the dislike is about though.

No headliners with as much history as Foo Fighters. I know of one undercard act that became active about the same time as them.
One headliner was active starting in the early 2000s and the other two have really only been around for about 5 years.
