Foo Fighters would be AWESOME. That certainly does fit the hints Steve gave us, they would help sell out the festival no doubt From what I was told, Foo Fighters are 100% NOT on this years lineup. I asked my source before the 2019 lineup came out and this summer, and got the same response. For the past 15 years or so, they've never had a good relationship with Promowest and they don't even try to book them. No idea what the dislike is about though. Aw man, that’d be a great get. I kinda figured it was too good to be true though

No headliners with as much history as Foo Fighters. I know of one undercard act that became active about the same time as them. One headliner was active starting in the early 2000s and the other two have really only been around for about 5 years. MCR CONFIRMED So MCR is the oldest band of the headliners? SHEESH. I'm not even old and I can feel the dementia kicking in. So MCR/ New Hip hop/ New Alt?

I’ll guess MCR, Lumineers, and Anderson Paak.

So either a hip hop, edm, alt, or pop act that has come about in the last 5 years that some people will not like that just got off of a successful tour AND hasn't been to bunbury before? I feel like we have enough information to figure out some solid predictions but I don't have any knowledge on these genres within the last 5 years.

I’ll guess MCR, Lumineers, and Anderson Paak. would that make them think they spent A LOT more on booking this year though? That honestly doesn't feel too much more expensive than Blink, Greta, FOB to me.

Combine the tip off with the fact that I was told a few months back that they were in talks with Promowest for a show but leaning towards a festival, it seems very likely that they're locked. Only thing that makes me think otherwise is that they wanted to headliner Coachella. Maybe they think they're bigger than Bunbury and would feel that festival is below them???

Download Australia is roughly the same capacity as Bunbury and they're confirmed for that. They were also a frequent Reading and Leeds headliner before breaking up, and we shared Fall Out Boy with them on the same album cycle. (Not the same calendar year, I don't think, but at the same level of popularity.)

I do find it interesting that MCR has only announced a few international dates but nothing else so far. I wonder what they are waiting on? Perhaps they're waiting until all the festivals they are playing at are announced before their full tour plans are released?

Well, everyone thought they were waiting on Coachella to drop before announcing anything, but we saw how that panned out. They made a cryptic post Friday that makes it look like there's a UK date coming soon. It doesn't seem like they're doing a full tour until after festival season finishes up.

Not sure how expensive Lumineers and Anderson Paak are, but they don’t seem too crazily high up.

I mean, hell, maybe they are just hitting a few festivals and then calling it quits on their reunion? My whole take on it, piecing together rumors, was that they were going to be paid around 1.5 million to be the top name on a day or shared with someone else and it sounds like Coachella wasn't going to do it that way and so they pulled out. I'm wondering if they have headlining spots locked up at other festivals (leaning towards Bunbury being a part of that based on what everyone's said here so far) so they said we want to be a headliner and we'll just do the other festivals that are willing to make us a top billing. I'm not sure if Coachella's radius clause played a factor at all but I know from leaked stuff a few years ago that their really clamp down on what artists who perform there can do touring-wise in the Spring.

People spew BS during festival season to try and feel important in their normally mundane lives. I believe nothing until I see a lineup. I just want my Hive Clues.

I would never call anything 100% confirmed until announcement - Promowest could DM me an admat and I'd take it with a grain of salt because so much can change in a few weeks. I'm just sharing what I was told, which I have no reason to believe isn't accurate as of now. If this source is correct it'll be a huge year for Bunbury.

Kinda funny how all this stuff seems to unravel at once...got a text from my source about 30 minutes ago:
Source: "You like my chemical romance?" Me: "Yes! Is this about Bunbury?" Source read the message, but hasn't responded.
Something makes me think that my source reads this forum and is fucking with me/us
