WonderBus officially will return for a second year on August 28th and 29th at the Lawn at CAS. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $59 for both days. Might have to go ahead and pull the trigger after last year's festival.

No brainer if you live in Columbus imo.

Already betting that Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats will be a headliner.

They've been talking about a new album forever. Now they've changed all their social media profile pics and website to black, and deleted all Instagram posts, so I think they're close to a big announcement of some kind. People are speculating its to hype up their new song "Deleter" which they've been playing live for a while and hinted would be a single.

Anyone with any info on possible bands for this year? No word anywhere yet. Lineup is supposedly coming early March. Last year it did not drop until April 2nd.

I hope the lineup is decent. We had a great time last year.

I hope the lineup is decent. We had a great time last year. Agreed. I'm optimistic because of the solid Wonderstruck lineup, and because of all the good bands touring that Bunbury missed out on booking.

Breakaway Festivals Columbus overlaps with Wonderbus on Saturday the 29th. Not that I think there would likely be crossover anyways since there wasn't any electronic acts or rap acts at Wonderbus but just thought I'd point it out.

So last year I noticed they booked a lot of bands from, or with some connection to Ohio. Any bands touring right now that fit that criteria? CAAMP seems like a natural fir.

Since they rebranded to WonderStruck in Cleveland I could see them doing some artists from that lineup as well. I know they got Andrew McMahon last year and he was doing that as a special show since he wasn't touring at all. I tried searching a newer list of current acts and artists from Ohio and didn't get many good results on Google. Most lists just had some older acts from the 70's and 80's listed.

My initial thought on acts that have some ties to Ohio or like to tour here include: Foster the People, Bleachers (they always seem to pop up in Ohio and I saw there was a tease for a new album), Saint Motel (just saw them last night and they did mention how one of their staging guys is from the area and his parents were there and how much they enjoyed coming to Columbus), Matt & Kim (ALWAYS come to Columbus) and Grouplove (also come to Columbus a lot). Of course some of that is just based on how much they show up during tours and what not but those acts also feel like ones that could be convinced to do one off shows because of the mission to raise money and awareness to depression and suicide.

Very unlikely, but it would be dope of twenty one pilots performed for a drastically lower rate than they normally get paid as kinda a "local charity" show. That'd bring all kinds of money in

You know how the skeleton clique or whatever they call themselves can get haha.

Wonderbus posted that the lineup will be out in less than a month! Really holding out hope for this one. I'm strongly considering purchasing tickets before the lineup (currently sitting at $70/person). Not sure what they will rise to but I noticed it's more this year than last. Obviously that could just be because they had a good turn out and can probably raise it a little bit and people won't complain but also makes me curious if that is due to the artists they booked and what some of those artists would charge......

That lineup is exactly what I was hoping for in a smaller, two day fest.

I think I'm going to buy early too. The price is already at $70/weekend (which is more than last year) which makes me think that they spent more money on artists this year (or maybe they just want to make a little more money) and I don't want to wait too long to pull the trigger. I would have to think they will sell a lot of tickets this year if it's anything close to WonderStruck quality of booked talent and the good press they had coming out of last years debut.
I wish they would say when the lineup is coming out so I quit twiddling my fingers and just pull the trigger haha.

Okay, let's get the ball rolling on some speculations here. I'm having a little trouble thinking of plausible headliners based on who is touring, but I think Vampire Weekend might be plausible if they really are booking some more artists this year. Also, past headliners from LaureLive, now Wonderstruck. Maybe Hozier or Sheryl Crow, both of which i'd be Fine with. Death Cab for Cutie seems like a natural choice for a headliner at this festival as well, I think them closing out Sunday would be amazing.
Hoping for Head and the Heart, Bleachers, Young the Giant, Fitz, Grouplove as well.

I’m thinking a lot of Laurelive bands from 2018,2019. Last year, they had 5-6 acts that played at previous Laurelives. I’d expect some of these, Foster the People, X Ambassadors, Misterwives, Hozier, AJR, Coin, Moon Taxi, Fitz and the Tantrums.

I hate to bring up this possibility because I do not want it, but I think its possible that AJR headlines. I am not much of a fan of theirs and their fan base is kind of annoying, but they are now playing large amphitheaters this season, but have no Columbus date. Would love Foster the People though
