There are a lot of bands on here that I have never heard of so I can't say much until. I definitely like Fitz and the Tantrums saw them at Bonnaroo in 2012, they put on a good show. Red Wanting Blue back this year, one of my favorites. Foxy back. Have to wait and see what the last headliner is. I will discuss more after I get to listen to some of these bands. There are a few that I have heard really good stuff about.

I'm pretty disappointed that I opted to pay for the tickets via layaway. I still have a few months of reminders as more money comes out of my bank account. I'm glad that some people are happy, I want this festival to be a success for years to come, but after two years of having bands I'm excited about, there isn't a single band I'm excited about this year. I'm sure there is some good music here, and I'll be listening for the next few months to see if I like any of them, but barring a big surprise as the third headliner, I may be looking to unload my tickets when I can.
I like Fitz and the Tantrums and New Politics. Heartless Bastards and Kim Taylor are fantastic local additions, but not really worth the festival price when you've seen them several times at a much cheaper price.
I'm shockingly looking forward to the Nelsonville Festival more than this now. I am excited to see The Avett Brothers and Frank Turner again.

I started giving a listen and am digging Kishi Bashi, I have also heard from a friend that it's an excellent live show.

I am indifferent... There are a lot of bands that I have not heard. After a full listen through I will give my opinion. I agree, up front I wasnt blown away at all. But some of the my favorite bands now I first heard at Bunbury in the past 2 years. We shall see...
HOPING that the last headliner is a good one, though.

...and if I have to hear one more person say, "where is Walk the Moon" I will.... do nothing... but wonder to myself, "you are at a music festival.. I assume you know good music... HOW DO YOU LIKE A BAND AS BAD AS WALK THE FREAKIN MOON..."

I still think the last headliner will be Vampire Weekend, but then again what in the hell do I know? ha

LOL, Walk the Moon isn't that bad. It's their fans that are annoying. If we can avoid all of the "bros" in their neon tank tops and face paint, I'll be okay with that.
If anybody doesn't want to do the leg work, I've got a 2014 Bunbury Festival playlist up and running in Spotify. I did it last year and it was pretty successful. I'm just putting four songs from each band that has four songs available on Spotify. It's good for getting a quick sample to decide if you think you might like someone. Here is the link. Feel free to subscribe if you like.
I've got 45 bands up so far and will continue to add.

In many ways, I think this is better than I was fearing, but I'm not overwhelemed with joy. Flaming Lips, Cults, Bear Hands, Wild Cub, Yugos, Heartless Bastards....all good bands.
Would I travel for this festival? No. But since it's literally 5 minutes from home, I'll make do.

Agreed I would not travel.

I mean I'm still going to support the festival (hoping to volunteer this year) but this is so weak in my opinion. After raising the tickets $20 this is the result? That has to be the weakest top 10 yet. New Politics is the 7th biggest band at the festival? Maybe my expectations were too high because of the ticket prices this year. Still pretty excited about Flaming Lips, one less conflict at Bonnaroo.
Also, I wouldn't get my hopes up about the third headliner. The fact they didn't announce it is probably an indication whatever they were planning fell through and they're scrambling for a replacement.

The fact they didn't announce it is probably an indication whatever they were planning fell through and they're scrambling for a replacement. That is my fear as well. It's one of three options... Either they are scrambling to fill the spot, or it's somebody who hasn't announced they are going on tour yet, so they don't want their name to get out there, or thirdly... It's somebody big enough to sell tickets and they are waiting for the prices to go up before they announce them. I guess a fourth option is just that they haven't finalized the deal yet and don't want to announce it until it's official in case it does fall through. It does worry me though, because all signs were pointing towards them announcing it today. Literally, the pictures of the signs at the lineup events last night said Friday and Sunday's headliners would be announced today. So they were planning on it.

Literally, the pictures of the signs at the lineup events last night said Friday and Sunday's headliners would be announced today. So they were planning on it. Didn't ticket prices go up at midnight already? That's surprising they said Friday and Sunday headliners would be announced today and now they're not. On facebook they said they would announce the third headliner "soon" but that could mean anything. It could be possible that there's just something to wrap up in the contract with the third headliner that they thought would get done last night and it didn't. Who knows. But on an unrelated note: If you publicly bash a festival on their social media page you are a piece of shit. If you don't like the the lineup shut up and don't go. The festival organizers don't owe you anything, and they are real people that put a lot of work into this

Ticket prices go up at midnight tonight. They gave people a day to see the lineup before raising prices.

I feared they wouldn't pull many of my wish list bands, but they came through pretty good with some surprises and a lot of my wish list. Hoping there are some hidden gems as well. I am in Dayton, so not as close, but I am happy with the lineup. Really looking forward to morning parade, bad suns, and small pools

Royal Teeth also had a pretty good tune on the radio, I forget the name though.
Wild Cub just opened for Vampire Weekend and the Orwells for the artic monkeys and Bear Hands are pretty good.
I really like just about ask the New Politics songs. I remember the heartless Bastards being really good when I saw them at various local shows 4-5 years ago
