What's the comparison from last year to this year so far on total bands? Last year - 51 bands (37 listed on the original lineup announcement) Fri - 18 Sat - 18 Sun - 15 So, far this year - 43, plus the two new acts found today = 45. Ok ok I like that. St. Motel just got added to Columbus on the 10th at A&R Music Bar. So they could be back in play as an addition.

They just responded to a tweet about single day tickets. @cincigatorjeff the daily lineup (and single day tix) should be ready to announce and release in a few short weeks Few short weeks = two months in Bunbury language.

Trampled by Turtles was just added to Newport on June 10th too. Would be a nice pairing with Umphrey's on Saturday. The dates could work out.

Purity Ring is at Newport in Cbus on June 2, then GovBall on Saturday June 4. Wouldn't be a stretch to hit Bunbury on Friday.
Maybe I'm grasping at straws now. haha

actually probably not St. Motel unless it was a random one off tour date for them. They have a pattern of doing 4 days in a row and start it in Michigan on the 9th. That doesn't mean they wouldn't but I just don't know if they would do a random day in there but could be a good warm up after having a few months off from touring before hitting the schedule hard again.

I also looked into Miike Snow and that would seem like a random concert added to their schedule with the break they have but since it's a festival they could always just throw it up in the middle of a gap. I personally hope they are added. I'm been on the fence about tickets to the show here in Columbus in May.

But the fact that they are in Cbus the 28th of May, makes it unlikely, but not impossible.

Maybe Ra Ra Riot could be added. Just playing in Toronto Bunbury weekend. Also, if Mudcrutch is indeed playing Friday, and no additional headliner is added, who is the headliner Saturday? Tears for Fears? Ice Cube? You could make an argument for Of Monsters and Men, but they're confirmed for Sunday.

I mean I would think the safest bet would be Ice Cube and Tears for Fears playing at the same time or offsetting and then like a "late night" Umphrey's McGee at that point. But that would be quiet the interesting scenario to have based on the initial lineup posted and everything. I just don't know of too many festivals that add mysterious/surprise headliners out of no where months later but I'm all for it if they do decide to!

How long did they wait to announce Empire of the Sun in 2014? Or did they announce a "TBD Headliner" on the original lineup announcement?

They were announced sometime in mid-March (keeping in mind that the show was in mid-July instead of early June).

Seriously, I just wish they would say outright what is happening, even if they don't announce the artist.

That makes me feel less and less likely that someone else will be added to the lineup.

You have to remember the Promowest didn't own the festival at that time, so they might handle things differently.

They mentioned recently how daily lineups should be coming out soon but we shall see. Bonnaroo usually does daily lineups 2 months out and then like a few weeks before will put out the actual schedule. Which is the weekend after Bunbury.

Again, Promowest might handle it differently. They didn't own the festival during the TBA headliner.

Again, Promowest might handle it differently. They didn't own the festival during the TBA headliner. Bill Donabedian is still in charge of the overall festival operations though. I don't know, I'm not confident there is a third headliner. Based on how Bunbury has never hinted it and gave a pretty strong "nope" when they usually try to be sly or cute makes me think there is nothing.

That spreadsheet makes me think that they maybe had someone else in mind and it fell through or they just couldn't make things work out. Them flat out saying "nope" seems to be pretty definite. I don't know how frequently festivals would just lie to the fans if they were asking the questions.

WOAH Bob Moses was just added to Bonnaroo and is now slated to be in Pittsburgh on the 6th and Cleveland on the 8th. They play Governors Ball on the 3rd. If Bunbury is going to add artists they NEED to get them!
