Weezer is playing Forecastle though... We usually don't share any bands with Forecastle.

This is gonna be a lot of Weezer guesses.... but Forecastle, so I doubt it's them.

Death Cab for Cutie - The Ghosts of Beverly Drive

But if it's Weezer, they're surely a headliner, right?

Death Cab for Cutie - The Ghosts of Beverly Drive I would be so good with this too. Death Cab is on my Bunbury guess list.

Death Cab has no festivals scheduled this year. Weezer has several. Could we be sharing with Forecastle? I hope so. I saw Weezer at Bunbury 2012 and it was awesome!

the sign is Beverly Drive, so I think it's more likely Death Cab than Weezer, but Weezer is performing at festivals so i think it's 50/50. Both are good though!!!

Tame Impala... Track: Beverly Laurel
Definition of a Laurel; an aromatic evergreen shrub related to the bay tree, several kinds of which form forests in tropical and warm countries
They have played Bunbury in the past

Couple things on Death Cab and Weezer. Both have already headlined. Not sure if hints typically point to headliners and does Bunbury want to have the house band label placed on their headliners. Just a thought.

The National has Geese of Beverly Road. No way is it Weezer, they're at Forecastle.

I didn't know about the forecastle sharing history (or lack thereof) so I'm second guessing my Weezer guess... I love both bands, though. Hopefully they are both there

Death Cab isn't necessarily a headliner. They were the first year but the festival has grown since then.
Look at Firefly Festival last year. Death Cab is 8th on the list behind bands like Florence and the Machine and Deadmau5 who were both headliners at Bunbury last year. I could see Death Cab possibly being the top act after the headliners.

So if I was running these give hints, I'd caution against hinting at a big headliner because I wouldn't want to let people down. Death Cab is good, but wouldn't draw the same crowds as Weezer. I get that they are trying to sell tickets, it just doesn't seem like the right approach... I don't know what to think about this but we'll find out next week.

I get that, but from a marketing standpoint, it's brilliant. You're trying your best to sell tickets, get guaranteed sales before the lineup drops. That's why they offer discounted tickets before the announcement....in the hopes that people jump to their own conclusions and buy based on that versus the actual list they may not be as pumped about. It's on the buyer whether they are willing to take the gamble, and if they are let down, it's really all on them for making assumptions.

Someone had said they probably wouldn't hint a headliner, but we only have 2-3 more hints before Lineup... so its posible.

I do think it's death cab now. I agree there's probably a radius clause preventing Weezer to play at bunbury because of forecastle.

I hope Weezer but Death Cab not bad either. So far if all went well the hints would be: x ambassadors, cage the elephant, run the jewels, kings of leon, neon trees, purity ring, joywave, weezer however, based on the guess of some people I think lineup could be as boring as: diarrhea planet, rev horton heat, tool, dram, dropkick, etc.

Kings of Leon are playing Europe at the time. they are out Weezer are playing Forecastle. they are out Notice the trend of Forecastle booking a better lineup. Tool would be the biggest band this festival has ever had but the vanilla crowd this festival brings in couldn't handle a Tool concert.
