Probably The 1975. They play New York the weekend before Bunbury and Denmark the weekend after Bunbury. Could easily fit Cincinnati in between.
Would love for it to be Carolina Chocolate Drops or Ween. But Ween is playing Nelsonville and I doubt they would share a headliner and Carolina Chocolate Drops aren't playing at all right now.
Of course there's always the longshot - Chocolate City by Parliament Funkadelic! I mean, Bootsy Collins does live in Cincinnati!

I'll go with The 1975 here. They'll probably play before a headliner, similar to a Haim or Of Monsters and Men time slot.

The 1975 just played Cincinnati on Nov 17 at BB&T Arena (Campus of Northern Kentucky University). Is that to soon to return? Just wondering since the clue appears obvious it is them.

My initial thought was The 1975 too.

1975 is one of those bands I feel I should know better. They always seem a bit too poppy for my taste. Guess I'll have to listen to them some over the next 4 months.

They are very good, just note that there will be a TON of fangirls there. Bunbury is really pushing to sell to the younger kid crowd this year it seems like. A lot of festivals have really crossed over to pop now. 1975 puts on a good show though at least.

Any guesses to what tier they are on the lineup? I don't think they are headliners. Maybe second tier, but depending on who the headliners are, they could also be undercards.

Based off of last year's lineup, I'd put them at about the same level as Of Monsters and Men. Probably playing the main stage before the headliner, but I could also see them closing out a smaller stage. Probably not closing out the other main stage, they aren't on the same level as Ice Cube, Mudcrutch, or Tears for Fears.

Do we think today's announcement is confirming that this hint is The 1975 or that this is a different band?

They play in Columbus that Saturday, so they'll be playing Bunbury either Friday or Sunday. I could see them closing out the smaller main stage on Sunday, similar to Twenty One Pilots in 2015.

Do we think today's announcement is confirming that this hint is The 1975 or that this is a different band? They responded to a tweet saying the hint was for The 1975 and not another band.
