Obviously they don’t deserve to be booked now, but I’m curious what they’re touring schedule would’ve looked like

LOVE Black Pistol Fire. I hadn't even heard of them until the first Hive Hint. I think I am in the extreme minority where I am not overly interested in Manchester Orchestra. Their 2 newest songs do nothing for me.

The new Royal Blood is fantastic if you haven't listened yet. This will be my 5th time seeing them.
Of the stuff that's new to me, I am loving Gang of Youths. I listened to their song "The Deepest Sighs, The Frankest Shadows" and immediately bought their new album.

Their 2 newest songs do nothing for me. I totally understand that. At first, their newest album seemed disappointing to me. It took awhile to warm up to and now i love it! To get a better feel for them, watch their live set from lollapalooza on the youtubes. that won my girlfriend over in just a few minutes

It seemed like a mix of rock and screamo type stuff and now it's like more towards a subdued sound it seems.

If you saw them around 2011, this was when "Mean Everything to Nothing" was their main touring album. Many of the songs on that album are a little heavier. As they band has gotten older, they're stray away from some screams but definitely still have some loud songs. I can assure you that these guys know how to put a good show on even if you aren't a fan of the music. They're not the "stand in one place" band. They dance and jump around the stage which makes it fun even for people who don't know their music

So this Griz band seems actually decent to me. I'm not well versed on the EDM spectrum, but when this guy preforms, does he have the whole band with him or just a laptop like bassnectar?

I was VERY happy to see Griz on the lineup. I've wanted to see him when he comes to town and it sells out almost every time. Very fun EDM-live music. I liken him and Pretty Lights and others as kind of the Jam Bands of the EDM generation.

I left about 20 minutes into bassnectar because it just didn't do anything for me. I dont find a guy on a laptop pressing play all the interesting. Without any words or anything, bassnectar kind of bored me. I think bassnectar is something that had a niche interest group and not necessarily widespread festival appeal.

He's a sure thing. But yeah, it feels like in the past few years if you lived anywhere near a festival you've had the chance to see him. I would imagine Chainsmokers bring that type of audience based on their popularity.

Chainsmokers is a bad booking because they aren't EDM they are mainstream pop and their popularity is declining so though they will sell tickets its a slap in the face to any loyal bunbury attendee whether they were there for EDM/Rap or more alternative & rock bands. They are just a terrible act to book at a festival ever because they are also extremely underwhelming live, another thing that Bunbury is really good about usually is getting great live bands so this just doesn't make sense. It would actually not bother me as much if chainsmokers were just not even on the lineup, sure be nice to have them replaced with someone better but at this point it's just like take them off the whole lineup. It make its such a joke. Promo west should have just booked them for a separate concert and made money off that show without pissing off their festival fans. I wouldn't be as upset but they booked multiple terrible artists this year not just one glaringly bad one. Then they tried to go old school and be cool but it's still not the real Blink, everyone and their mom has probably seen Blink, Incubus or 3EB so this is basically just warped tour featuring the chainsmokers, post malone and then jack white headlining lol. then they randomly stack the undercards.... to lure the real music fans into buying 3 days when we all know it's not worth the price. Bad move Bunbury.

Bad move Bunbury. I'm no fan of Chainsmokers or Blink 182 so I certainly understand your point of view. But I definitely think there seems to be a bigger buzz around the lineup this year than in the past. I'd had a few friends express interest in it that in previous years had no interest. I would have liked a different lineup as it pertains to the top 2 lines but it seems like it's going over decently well with the general public. Which I'm sure they want to draw in the crowd that is on the fence.

I agree but it's a sell out fest then just the same as any other and it's not unique or anything near what it began as. so that's fine if they are successful and make money but they certainly lost their main fanbase. these poppy headliners aren't even good at all so I can't possibly understand what the buzz around it all is but the midwest is a strange place so I'm sure it "will be lit"

There are a lot of acts I want to see on the lineup still. Casual fans will only go for headliners. I think it's a win/win.

Almost all of the bands are ones that i've been interested in seeing, but did not necessarilywant to spend $50 on each individual one at their own tour. That alone makes this a great deal! Although Blink doesnt have tom and has skiba (who has a terrible voice) they're still a lot of fun. To me, this year will result in me having fun all day, all weekend, as opposed to being bored as hell until 7pm at night

I think the undercards are always pretty good so though I am excited for some of them I don't know if it's worth it for only one good headliner. And I feel they will definitely screw the daily up so that we have to but a 3 day. It's mostly a loss for me when I could spend less for individual shows that are better than these undercards. There are only a few that are truly unique. But it is a good point that even though the headliners mostly suck it will probably still be fun. I was that way for Wiz and thought he did a good job lol.

They were really good and had a ton of energy! Most openers barely get people moving but they actually got some crowd involvement and did a great show! These guys will definitely be early in the day but I plan on seeing them!

Back in college we always raved about how we wanted to see them live because friends of our said it was an amazing experience. That being said, I'm not overly enthralled with their songs but have always still remained somewhat interested in them. It's been described as kind of like a drug trip, in regards to their concerts.
