You will probably feel scummy, but a friend who I went with last year went up to every food vendor and asked if they would give him free food if he wore their shirt around the festival to promote it. Believe it or not, two places did it Yes! We showed up right when the gates opened last year and the grilled cheese place (i think tom and chee) approached me and gave free lunch if I wore the shirt

I throw these in a gallon zip loc bag with a few wet naps and band aids and they don't think twice about it. The bottle has sunscreen application instructions, warnings, and bar codes. You cannot tell this apart from a normal bottle. Also comes with a few "sealed for you protection" stickers.

Not really sure what the forecast calls for, but in 2016 it poured down rain on that Saturday. My friends were dead set on getting up front for deadmau5, so they brought a huge plastic tarp and we all held it over ourselves right up front. We stayed really dry and it was a fun way to meet people who were seeking shelter. Tons of random people stopped in and gave us beer and what have you for shelter

I would assume that's still legal in the festival but if something's changed then I really like this tarp idea!

What was your experience like?

Anyone remember how much beer costs? Beer is significantly cheaper if you have any friends in the VIP section who can buy them for you.

I drank Terrapin Brewery beers there last year at a cheaper than outside price. They had free handkerchiefs and koozies too!

I guess I'll hope they have it in VIP so I don't have venture out to some remote stall for a glass of wine

You have to be quick and sneak by. I never had any problems walking out with drinks from VIP. They can't tell if you're leaving to walk around or taking it to friends. We bought our friends several drinks from VIP and walked it out to them. If I recall, they had maybe like 2-3 beer choices, a hard cider/soda, wine, and Gatorade/Red Bull. They were significantly cheaper in the tent, like half price. Gatorade/Red Bull/Water was like $1.50.

Might be interesting

I dont have VIP but I'll try to find out. We did VIP over at Mamby on the Beach last year and frankly VIP just wasn't worth it there. Still spent a fortunte on alcohol (everything there seemed over priced actually compared to Bunbury) so we've kind of backed off considering VIP for festivals for the time being. It would be interesting to see what really makes it worth it prices/options ect.

I'll grab some beers in the afternoon but during headliners I'll just toss back some "sun screen". Looking to save my money and throw it at Island Noodles

I always go VIP and the prices are worth it. $3 beers and $1 waters. They also have a few mixed drinks. It makes it worth it to me.

Not 100% on where to put this, but we always get a locker for the 3 days, but this year I don't see anything about lockers. Does anyone know if those are gone this year?

There were normally a few of us that would throw stuff in it. Normally stuff like sunscreen and sunglasses at night. I liked it because I carry two phones. I threw the work phone in the locker and checked it every so often. They have chargers in them, so you can throw your phone in their for an hour or so if it gets low. It is also nice to throw any shirts or stuff that you purchase in there.
