Good to know. I am all for a smaller area. Seemed like VIP for the main stage last year was so big. General admission basically only had access to left side of the barrier near the stage. I assume you are just looking to get close to the stage for Fall Out Boy? Most likely. I know its not too bad early in the day.

Travis Barker has broken his ankle but swears they won't cancel any dates because of it...we'll see how long that lasts

Truthfully, if you stand by the barricade around 90 minutes before they go on, you will be within the first 10 rows or so. There's always a group of 20 or so people that literally waste their day camping on the barricade so that's a little harder if you MUST be in the front row. If you just want to get close, just wait until the act before Fall Out Boy leaves the stage and you will be more than fine. It's not that big of a festival

I assume you are just looking to get close to the stage for Fall Out Boy? I know at least 10 people who would buy one-day VIP just for Fall Out Boy. Right now most of them are waiting for resale prices to drop to maybe buy three-day VIP just to have it Friday.

I guess my point is that the main stage side feels cramped in general as has been discussed on here many times (Sawyer Point is much better). You have the trees on the left side. Then, on the right side of the barrier is the large VIP area and maybe some merch stands. Wouldn't be upset if lack of ticket sales led to the VIP area being smaller to give the GA a bit more room. I'd really like to try VIP, but I'm not interested in going all 3 days.

Go right in front of the soundboard right along the perpendicular barricade. You have TONS of room and the sound is top notch. Not to mention you are still very close

I think it will still run the entire length of the right side of the stage. But you have every right to complain. The main stage is horrible. It should be at Sawyer point. There is so much more room and I have gotten great spots at the last second and really enjoyed it. It’s much wider. And the way the hill slopes up you can see from the back. The main stage is a joke.

You're the one we would be asking that! let me re-phrase that...I feel like I heard rumors of another band having some kind of bandmate/management issues that were going to cause them to cancel their summer festival plans. Don't quote me on this one though. Might have just been a super weird dream.

Here is a list of bands on the schedule that I couldn't give two shits if they had to cancel: GVF AWOLNATION Sublime with Rome Blue October ...actually, pretty much anyone could cancel and I wouldn't care. God this lineup is bad.

Well i made the choice to go to "Life is Beautiful" this year instead. just booked the room and flights for vegas. Wasnt terribly expensive. Pulled the trigger on early bird tickets without seeing the lineup but i trust that it will be stacked like every year. Plus Black Keys already confirmed. Has anyone else been?

The scary thing is that the guy who shot up the country music festival actually booked a room over this. To think that I could’ve been involved in a tragedy like that still haunts me to this day. Other than that, it’s a super fun festival. Lots of great food as well.

Anyway.. as an add — really hope they don’t add single day VIP to bump sales, or decrease the width of VIP. I got VIP for the purpose of having stage center.

It happens often that I remember who is on the bunbury lineup then I get sad and angry. I think I’ll be doing other festivals but it sucks that none of them will be so close to home

Bunbury is saying on social media that VIP passes are almost sold out, which I am having a very difficult time believing. My guess is they either cut the size of the VIP area or are bluffing entirely. I just don't see this lineup selling out VIP.

I hope they're bluffing and they don't cut the size - or, if they do, they still go to the middle of the stage and just make it not go back as far. I made my decision to buy VIP based on what I saw last year.

They then proceeded to say that they aren't "sold out" of VIP. They are not directly linked to the people making the decisions regarding the size of VIP or the number of tickets being designated for VIP. The only real information I got is that currently they have only sold roughly 60% of the VIP tickets they sold last year.

That's interesting about the VIP volume, if its 60% of last year total, that's not terrible since we're still a month out, but I'd have to assume it is down. Although it sounds like ticket sales are down overall, I'd have to assume their artist budget was way down as well, so they might be doing okay. However, I still feel like this festival could collapse at something like a key artist pulling out or very bad weather/cancellations of a day

Based on the app these are the most popular artist drawing people in: Fall Out Boy - 1580 Awolnation - 1042 The 1975 - 1027 Machine Gun Kelly - 1001 NF - 900 Greta Van Fleet - 865 Stone Temple Pilots - 827 I dont remember the exact numbers, but I know last year at least a handful of artists were well north of 2000+

The really interesting thin with those numbers is that Run the Jewels is not up near the top. I thought they'd be a huge draw, certainly, bigger than NF. I saw Lorde last year when RTJ opened and there were so many RTJ shirts, you would've thought they were the headliners

Bunbury just released a contest on Facebook to win the ultimate VIP experience. The package includes among other things, two VIP tickets for Bunbury 2020. It would appear there are no immediate plans to scrap the festival going forward. Just thought that was interesting since some have speculated the demise of Bunbury with this year's weak lineup, ownership changes, and other festivals emerging in the area.
