Yeah especially with it being at Nationwide with no GA section. That clip of "what's my age again" with lil wayne is an abomination. As the best talent scout of our generation says, "It's gonna be a no from me dawg". I'm sure the tickets prices will be something ridiculous too

I could be totally off but doesn't Lil Wayne have kind of a reputation of no-showing concerts or cancelling as well? I know he's had a lot of health related things that make him cancel. I thought he came to town last summer to Express LIVE but can't remember for sure.
Either way. What a horrible idea. I love that people are roasting them on social media hahaha.

I've said this a million times, but I knew very little about raps, but I'm pretty sure I also recall him having a show at Express LIVE last summer with a popular up and coming rappist and canceling it. I spoke to my girlfriend about her experience seeing Lil Wayne around 2009 and she said that he was a good entertainer but only stayed on stage for about 40 minutes as the headliner somewhere in the Cleveland area. She also said he is one of the worst mumblers ever and it's damn near impossible to hear anything he's singing even if you know every word to the song. Either way, I'm not planning on going to this but I know some in my normal group are stoked to see Blink and Neck Deep together so that might get us to go unless the tickets are stupid expensive.

I'm heading to the blue jackets watch party tonight at High Bank Distillery with my group and my source will be there. I will see if I can find anything out According to my source, "tickets are not selling as poorly as you think but it's a far cry from last years tickets sales". They then proceeded to say that they aren't "sold out" of VIP. They are not directly linked to the people making the decisions regarding the size of VIP or the number of tickets being designated for VIP. The only real information I got is that currently they have only sold roughly 60% of the VIP tickets they sold last year. In addition, just got the word from my source that they are not sure if they are raising ticket prices to "tier 3" prices. Not to anyone's surprise, but tickets sales are no where near where they were last year

Based on their recent instagram post, they are already doing a contest for 2020 tickets so it looks like it's going forward as far as we know.

Also Whitney, it’s okay if you don’t want to, but can you ask your source about how pw has taken the feedback into account and getting an idea of next year’s lineup (if it’s too much to ask it’s fine).

I've asked similar questions in the past, and they don't like to comment on publicity and things like that. I will be very curious to hear their takeaways from 2019 though. If you care to read about their takeaways from 2018, they are buried in here somewhere.

Anyone heard anything about how well this year is selling? I wouldn't think it'd be doing so well, but who knows anymore. If I remember correctly, Sunday was either sold out or almost sold out at this point las year, and other days were low too

ai’m still wondering where the fest map is... wonder if it’s delayed as they wait to see what happens with rain and the river stage. That has to be it. I'm from Indy, and if they've been getting as much rain as we have, it could be an issue. Plus, it looks like rain Thursday, but the weekend looks ok so far. I like the idea of the river stage, but if they're gonna keep putting bigger acts like lovelytheband and Blue October on there, they oughta find a location without a fixed capacity. It was insane for Bishop Briggs and Sir Sly last year.

Girlfriend had her birthday this weekend so I was with my source at Pins Mechanical on Saturday night so I got some more information to parlay:
The map was/is delayed since they are having some last minute "issues" with vendors. I assume this means someone backed out and they have to fill the spot and don't want the wrong name on the map. There are no noticeable changes to be had like swapping main stages or relocating things. Should look exactly the same as last year. Guarantee to be a good bottleneck by the craft beer village!
Tickets sales, they are NOT projected to sell out any of the days or raise ticket prices. I don't think that's a surprise to anyone though.
The river stage is planned to be on the river. I asked about moving the stage further back towards the water so that more seats on the wall would be in view but was told their is a regulation on building stages down there and it has to be a certain distance from the water.
Lastly, I was told that a "last minute change to the schedule is likely going to happen". I tried to figure out if this was an artist dropping or simply swapping sets but couldn't get any more info

As of Friday when I drove over the 471 bridge, the river stage was clear and the water looked to be 3 feet or more below the stage level. I think we'll be getting a river stage this year.

I would certainly hope that the schedule change they're looking at is finding a way to get lovelytheband off the River stage and on to one of the main ones. It just makes no sense to have them there.

Does anyone know if the gate by Yeatman's Cove will have wristbands on Friday, or if you can just get in and out there once you have wristbands? My group was hoping to get in on that side to grab barricade instead of running from the main gate.

I'll tell you that there's no reason to camp at the barricade all day at Bunbury. You can be within about 10 feet from the barricade if you just walk up when the artist before the headliner finishes

I remember when FOB and Paramore came like 5 years ago, they were pulling kids over the rails into the VIP area because they were getting heat stroke. We bought a bunch of water from the VIP tent and started passing it out. The security guards tried to hassle us and we just told them don't be ridiculous, these kids are dehydrated and going to be your problem in about a half hour if they don't get the water. You probably don't need the recommendation, but definitely choose the rail on the left side (away from VIP). It's closer to the stage and much easier to get in and out later in the evening. The right side is a damn clusterf*ck that you get stuck in.
