It was just announced by MidPoint's owners (which happens to be the head of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra) that there will be no Midpoint Music Festival until after the new venue on The Banks is built.
He said if the stage is built by September or October of next year that Midpoint will return next year. If not, it won't be until 2020.
Here is a quote from the Cincinnati.com article "We thought it was better just to give it a permanent home," Smith said. "We'll likely have an expanded festival, with more bands, more days. It's going to be reworked"
