Poppy, Morphine, Opium, symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime any of these things give any hints to an artist?

My first thought was Caroline Rose or something else rose related, but it sure looks like its Poppy.

There is a singer named Poppy. She's got a song on Spotify with 19,000,000 plays and has teamed up with Grimes in the past. It may be as simple as that.

lol oh man I hope not. Thankfully I don't think she's really done anything music related in awhile and hasn't been booked for festivals or anything.

Both Poppy and Allison Wonderland are on tour through February, but nothing after. It is worth noting that Allison Wonderland is booked to play both Express Live and Stage AE, so there's a big connection to PromoWest.

What is the connection to poppies with Alison Wonderland? I don’t recall there being poppies in the story, but I could be wrong. Seems almost too obvious to be Poppy, but that’s my guess.

Is Bunbury women only now...?
I feel like there are only a few female fronted acts (Middle Kids, CHVRCHES, Alice Merton, Fickle Friends, a few others) I like, so this is looking concerning...

I think it’s an industry wide movement (unless you run a festival called Bonnaroo) to represent women more on lineups. In my personal opinion, I think this will definitely pay off by making lineups more musically and generally diverse so I’m all for it. If you can’t find enough female acts and music you aren’t trying hard enough bc there’s a lot of good ones out there

So far it's 50/50 if our guesses are correct. Poppy and Noname are Women and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Machine Gun Kelly are men. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Many female Indie acts seem to have the same sounding vocalist, and there's a sound to it I can't do. It's like a droning sound... hard to really explain it. An off-example would be ALVVAYS. They're pretty popular now, but I can't do it. Yada, yada, "They don't cater to you." I'm aware of all of that. Just opinions.

I've gone through phases when I'm really more into female acts than male acts. Then it usually comes back around. I'm not into a lot of female acts right now, but The xx, Chvrches, Elle King, Janelle Monae, Florence and the Machine, Adele, lorde, Hell even Miley Cyrus (whether you like her or not) all have kind of distinct sounds to them. I do get what you mean about many of the female indie artists out there having a similar sound to them, but there are plenty out there that can give you a different sound.
