While your picture didn't work, I saw it on Twitter. I feel like it could be almost anything.
Edited to say the picture is actually working now. Still could be almost anything.

When I reverse lookup, I get Tracy Emin drawings? I don't think they're hinting at at painter

Billie Elish has an album called "Don't Smile At Me". Only thing I've found so far, I'll keep digging.

Since we are getting down to the last few hive hints I am going to go on a limb and maybe say Marshmello because of his song Happier with Bastille. Definitely similar styles to that cover art, just opposite

Best I could come up with was Puddles Pity Party which I would love but he's in Seattle all weekend. Also he doesn't really fit Bunbury. But he's awesome. lol

Definitely similar styles to that cover art, just opposite While it's better than anything I've got, I find it hard to imagine that they would make the hint be the opposite of what they are hinting at. Also, the day before Bunbury he is playing in Sweden and his next show later in June is in France.I just don't think he fits this year.

The best I could come up with is Run the Jewels. They have a song called, "No Come Down" with the lyrics: "Left a note on the fridge with a frowny face drawn With a rope from its neck to the rafters". This is kind of a long shot, but this clue is pretty ambiguous.

Smashing Pumpkins. Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness Smashing Pumpkins are playing in Sweden Friday and a festival in Denmark on Saturday. It's safe to say they are out.

Let me just point out, it is a long shot but there are lots of DJs who play international shows and the next day, they will play on the other side of the world. It is a lifestyle they are used to, especially one as big as Mello.

Death Cab for Cutie has a song called Fake Frowns. Doubt it's them since they are headlining Nelsonville, but they are the week after Bunbury this year, so I guess it's possible. Just unlikely. Though they do have the weekend open and are playing in Pitsburg at a Promwest venue the day before Nelsonville.
Gucci Mane has a song called Frowney Face. That sure seems like a pretty good hint for that.

Ugh. When I typed “Unhappy” into google, the first thing that came up was Lil Pump.
There is also a song by Lukas Graham

I'm going with Gucci Mane. His only other tour date right now is the Firefly Festival which is an AEG Festival and we know AEG helped book this year.

lovelytheband's most recent album is titled "It's Hard To Smile"

They are definitely a band Bunbury would book. Very good live too! Saw them twice last year, both times at Promowest venues in Columbus.

From the look of it, the Gucci Mane song seems to be an obscure one from a mix tape. I feel like in the past it's either typically a clue for the artist, an album or a more significant song. So while never say never with the clues, I'm hoping it's not him.

Generally when it's song specific, it's a more relevant/new song by the artist they are hinting at. Last year, we had the peace sign which was hinting at a newer popular song by the front bottoms for example
