I expect an influx of 1/5 scoring trolls, but realistically, what do you think of the lineup? What undercard do you recommend? Who are you seeing?
I’m inclined to go with a 4 (up from a 3.5). The more I look the more I wonder why people are crying about it.. I’d rather have a decent top ten than a banger headliner followed by a list of shit (I know people see if as a list of shit regardless — hey, opinions.) I’m really just bummed because whatever day GVF is playing, I’ll likely be spending the day on the rail missing ofher acts I’d like to see, which sucks.
But for my money.. I like the lineup overall. I’m disappointed with the lack of names I know on the undercard, but fests are about discovering bands as much as enjoying ones you know, so why not. I wanna see (in order of poster slot):
Fall Out Boy: IF they play a set of lots of old stuff.
Greta Van Fleet: Top three best live show I’ve ever seen.
Stone Temple Pilots: Not the same without Weiland, but.
Sublime With Rome: Not the same with Rome, but.
Dashboard Confessional: Nostalgic reasons.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong: Their show finna be L I T.
lovelytheband: Pretty good show, catchy songs.
Those are just the bands I already know fairly well. There are other popular bands I don’t listen to regularly but am looking forward to listening to over the next four months.

Greta Van Fleet is unbelievable def the act I'm most excited for. However, I felt like they missed lots of opportunities with big acts touring/releasing new music (Vampire Weekend, Death Cab for Cutie, ect.)... I'm expecting the Bellwether lineup to be incredible after a great first year lineup.

But I also didn’t put any merit into the predictions so I was a lot less disappointed. I for sure get the notion that Bunbury is “missing the top line,” but this still works for me.

If you want to see females performing on stage, this is not the festival for you.

I give it a 3. There are about 10 bands on the card I'd enjoy seeing. I normally go for 1 day only. This year it will be the Fall Out Boy day. Hoping it is not Sunday and they get paired up with either Run The Jewels or Awolnation (my luck, probably won't). Agree that STP and Sublime are not the same without the original singers, but I could see those sets being fun just because I'll know all the songs. Obviously, the biggest disappointment is the lack of star power with the headliners. Holding out hope they pick up another band. Overall, seems like a drop off from previous years, but you can't please everyone and I can probably find 2 or 3 bands I like each day which would make it worth going.

There's a difference in rating the bands and rating the festival as silly as it sounds. There are a few bands on there that are fine. Hell most of the bands on there are fine and appeal to somebody. But as a whole, it's not a very good festival lineup. I'd give it about a 2 and a half if I could. Enough bands to maybe warrant a 3, but lack of anything exciting at the top to some really questionable placement and a headliner who is playing Cincinnati 12 days before the festival would make it a 2 for me.

Anyone think Bellwether's 2019 lineup could have impacted some acts from playing Bunbury? I do. I expect Bellwether to have another fantastic lineup!

I think I counted 13 acts I would like to see (some of course are fringe and I am ok with having to miss, because 13 is probably unrealistic to see any ways):
Greta Van Fleet, The 1975, Girl Talk, Run the Jewels, AWOLnation, Sublime w/ Rome, Dashboard Confessional, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, lovelytheband, Poppy, Joywave, Flora Cash, The Orphan The Poet

Thanks to everyone for joining in on all that madness the past few days. It always makes the hype of the release go up and I enjoy this time of year. If you step back and take a look, this will still be a fine festival and will sell tickets but I think we would all be shocked if it sold out. There are a handful of great acts and I like some of the acts I've never heard of after giving them a quick spotify run through but it's just missing something.
My group was underwhelmed and we do not anticipate going this year. I will still unload any information I can get from my source whenever I see them.
One note, our group thread has people bombarding our source with messages asking what happened this year and they have yet to respond. While it's just one person and not the company as a whole, I think that might be your first look into the thoughts of the employees in regards to what they think of this lineup. I think we all know this is kinda an off year for festivals as none of them out there look super super strong

I don't want to see attendance down this year, but selfishly it may be kinda nice not having to deal with a huge crowd.
