Someone had said the Bellwether lineup was coming in Feb this year. Do we have confirmation on that? On a Facebook comment, they said to look for something in “mid to late February”. |

They say the lineup will be released this week. If they are smart they will do it sooner rather than later. With the new Lexington Festival being the same weekend, I would think they would want people to lock in to their festival before being given the choice of choosing between two lineups. |

Bellwether just followed Beach House, Cold War Kids, Twin Shadow, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They followed every band that performed last year. I think we have our first acts, probably Beach House as a headliner.

Just got an e-mail from Bellwether announcing the first seven bands. No surprise... Beach House, Cold War Kids, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Twin Shadow, Real Estate, Pinback, and Caroline Rose.
Also announced that the festival will take place inside the Renaissance Festival Grounds this year and there will be jousting. LOL

I asked Bellwether on Facebook if both headliners were included in the list of bands included today and they said no. I’m holding out hope for an MGMT return.

I would guess that Beach House could be a headliner, but maybe not. Either way, this is a VERY encouraging lineup, and to my taste absolutely blows away Bunbury, even with 11 more bands to be announced.

If neither headliner is announced yet, could be an incredible lineup.
Do you think there is any chance that Cold War Kids could get top billing over Beach House? I do like Beach House but I’m not really sure I see them with the necessary energy of a headliner. I’ve never seen them live though and could be wrong. It would definitely be a different feel than Flaming Lips provided last year or what MGMT would have provided.

This is a good first wave of artists! Not exactly to my tastes though. That's okay, I respect what they're doing with this festival. I actually don't think Beach House will be one of the headliners. MGMT and The Flaming Lips were definitely a bit bigger than them. Unless they scale back, I think Beach House will be in the #3 slot. Good booking. Same for Cold War Kids. A really underrated one announced is Caroline Rose. Caught her opening for Rainbow Kitten Surprise last year and she was a TON of fun. I actually got more in to her set then RKS. Definitely one to watch.
