There’s gotta be a rapper on this lineup higher up, we have a bunch of names floating around none are rappers. My bet was Originally lil Wayne I think I’ll stick with that I agree, but a lot of festivals seem to be moving away from rap this year. Bonnaroo's only high billed hip hop act is Lizzo, and she's not traditional rap. Boston Calling and Governors Ball are as well. Who knows, maybe there aren't many strong rap headliners touring this year? We have not actually had a rapper in the top 3 since 2017 with Wiz and G-Eazy.

Festivals featuring rappers high up in the lineup have had increasing problems with theft, line jumpers, property destruction, and underage intoxication every year. I think it's getting to the point where it's not worth the revenue they bring in. You have a good point about not seeing many strong rap headliners, too. I don't know that much about the genre admittedly but I haven't seen many names I recognize announcing summer tours.

Alright, so I am back from lunch. I definitely did NOT get the holy grail of info, but did get a little to wet our appetite. I know it's a lot of information at once, but here we go 1) Hive HintsThey are going through approval process. I did not know this, but apparently there was a hive hint in the past that was somehow explicit in nature and they want to avoid any possible issue like that with ones they are putting out. (This makes me really want to look back and try to find it. I don't recall this at all!). Once they are all approved, we should start seeing them pop up on social media. My source said there's honestly no "go live" date on them, but assumes it's going to be middle of next week. 2) Ticket Prices
Right now, early bee prices are $179. Expect the tiers to increase similar to the same way they have before: Early Bee - $179 Tier 1 - $189 Tier 2 - $199 3) Festival Layout
I think we are all still pissed about this one, but there are still no plans to change the layout in regards to making it larger or moving stages. Yeatmans Cove will still be the #1 main stage and Saywer Point will still be the #2 stage. 4) Headliners
I know you want to hear if we are right, but they still would not confirm anything. Their reasoning is that there are still some very very small details that need to be ironed out with artists and you can't consider them "locked" until these are signed. With that being said, the wording my source gave me was "you're not far off". Those who have followed what my source has told me in the past, know that they have a way with words. I'm taking it as we only got 1 of them correct, but I really couldn't get a good read. 5) Undercard
They didn't want to tell me about any undercard but said it covers a wide variety including rap, folkish, rock, a touch of dance/edm, and some nostalgia. 6) Nostalgia
We all were talking on this board the other day about "who is going to fill in the nostalgia/Third Eye Blind spot"...well...it appears Third Eye Blind might be coming back. My source was not 100% certain, but they are fairly confident it's happening. During the booking for their upcoming March tour, they were going to book a stop in Columbus but Promowest wanted to push their next Columbus appearance further out and suggested Bunbury as an alternative. The last time my source heard talk about Third Eye Blind was around late October - early November so plans might have changed. I recall at their last Columbus show (where it was basically a hurricane outside) they said they would be back in the area next year. That's all I've got! Sorry it's nothing earth shattering, but I did the best I could

If 3EB is the "nostalgia" act again, I surely hope there's more than one.

Did they definitely mean inappropriate-explicit? Because my first thought with explicit was they gave away an artist way too clearly.

There's gotta be some powerplay going on that we don't know about lol My dad, who has never attended Bunbury and barely pays attention to live music at all, asked me if they were moving it this year. I think once people so far removed are aware of the issues, it's time to budge.

It's funny how different people are. This is one of the few clues I've known immediately without even having to search anything. It was posted at 10:01 and I posted my answer at 10:02. LOL

Kerrang is reporting that MCR's reunion show at the Shrine Theater (6,300 capacity) set a record for the venue with the gig grosing 1.45 MILLION and also was among the highest merch sales in the venue's history. With numbers like that, they are going to be an expensive booking.
