Figured I'd make this for people interested! Ended up missing this in 2018 and was pretty upset, I've heard those were two incredible sets by the National from long time fans. Sharon Van Etten has an April tour that lines up nicely I'd like that.

Presale today! Lineup Wednesday. I have pretty good faith the National are bringing a good lineup Definitely curious as to this lineup. The National aren't my cup of tea but based on what you guys said they brought last year, I could see some solid names being on this lineup.

Went to 2018 Homecoming. Lineup was solid with the likes of Lord Huron and Father John Misty. Also introduced me to and made me a big fan of Big Thief.
If you are a big fan of the National, it is a must see. If not, will find out on Wednesday if the supporting cast are worth the $119 current ticket price.

I didn't realize until I clicked on tickets that it's run by AC Entertainment who also run Bonnaroo and Forecastle. They also run the Highwater Festival which is curated by Shovels and Rope. Looks to me like they have a pretty wide net of talent available for The National to pull from. Given the success of last year I am pretty sure that we can count on a solid lineup.

I've seen names like Paul Simon, Bon Iver and Patti Smith have been thrown around over at the Homecoming thread on Inforoo. They seem to all claim to come from the same source but no one is confident enough to claim them to be locks or anything like that.

Paul Simon would be awesome, but by all accounts he is retired. His farewell tour is over. It seems like it would be kind of odd for him to just show up for a small festival appearance in Cincinnati. Even with his connection to the band.

I've heard similar rumors from someone at Inhailer. Her friend apparently sat next to a couple of The National members dad's at a Bon Weir concert and they said last year they claimed Bon Iver, Arcade Fire and Paul Simon were all confirmed....
The most likely would be Bon Iver/Big Red Machine, I don't know how much stock the other two have.

Hahaha I said Patti Smith and Bon Iver and I hope it happens but I wouldn’t bet on that.... inhaler radio also said Arcade Fire. Wow that’d be a show

If they got Arcade Fire I think I would have to go to that. They are a bucket list band for me.
Would a festival like this sell out? I haven't been before.

Wow that’d be a show Did it sound like they were saying Arcade Fire is playing or did it sound like they were speculating on the rumor? Just curious if they might be in the know on something or if they are just throwing out the same speculation we have heard.

Also Local Natives have confirmed it on their website that they will be playing Homecoming. So that's one in the definite column.

(My Inforoo account is Inhailerradio) So no, not even close to a confirmation on that unfortunately.

Gotcha, so we either believe Papa Dessner is giving all these people good info or not. If I knew for sure Arcade Fire was going to be there I'd buy today before the rush hits tomorrow and probably takes the price up another notch. But I'm already paying for so many things that I don't want to take the risk that I buy and then end up not wanting to go. I enjoy The National but wouldn't buy festival tickets for them alone. I've seen them plenty of times. I will just press my luck and see what happens tomorrow.

Arcade Fire's booking rate seems a bit high for the pricepoint of Homecoming, unless the rest of the card is anemic

Arcade Fire's booking rate seems a bit high for the pricepoint of Homecoming, unless the rest of the card is anemic I don’t know. Top level of 179 for general admission and about 459 for vip for essentially a two day festival which had only about 12 acts not counting the music now stuff. If this years lineup is similar I can see then getting one big act like Arcade Fire. I’m not saying I buy the rumor but I think budget wise it could be possible.

I'm bummed Bunbury won't have OMAM or Local Natives... Yeah that was my fist thought. I was definitely thinking OMAM was pretty likely for Bunbury. Strong lineup though

Not a bad lineup for a small intimate festival but not enough to sell me over spending my money other places. I appreciate Patti Smith as an artist more than I really want to actually see her perform these days. If I could go back and see her perform at CBGBs in its heyday I would be all over it. But not so much now.
Love Of Monsters and Men. I really miss The Walkmen so I'd like to see Hamilton Leithauser. And I love Wussy but I can see them perform all the time. The rest of them I either don't know or they just don't hit my sweet spot.

This doesn't sell me on getting tickets but I am definitely interested in Sylvan Esso stopping in Columbus around then (hint hint any promowest employees lurking around these parts)

Truthfully, I don't like The National so it would have to be a damn impressive lineup to get me to buy a ticket. With that said, The National fans will be treated well with this lineup!
