Since we're just about a month or so out from the lineup drop, I figure it'd be fun to come up with our best mock-ups based on all the info we've compiled in a few of the other threads and who's touring, playing other festivals, and just feel like the sort of booking Bunbury would make. I'll edit this as we get more info. This is probably a little optimistic, but I am trying to keep it realistic. If I were booking Bunbury and wanted it to sell out while still curating a lineup I'd like to see, this is what I'd do. Feel free to share yours as well, or give any suggestions as to what you'd add/remove on mine. Here goes: My Chemical Romance-Billie Eilish-MarshmelloVampire Weekend-Portugal. the ManGlass Animals-Angels & Airwaves-Rainbow Kitten Surprise-Rufus Du Sol The Head & the Heart-Carly Rae Jepsen-Milky Chance-Sum 41-Bleachers- Alessia Cara-Alice Merton-Sheck Wes-Moon Taxi-T Pain-IDK How But They Found Me Quick explanation of my logic:
Post Malone-Love him or hate him, he makes a TON of sense. He's extremely popular and moves a ton of tickets. Major reason Bunbury sold out in 2018. On a major arena tour, no Cinci, Louisville or Columbus. AEG loves booking him for festivals, already at Hangout.
The Black Keys-Not as popular as they were before hiatus, but still headlining festivals. No Cinci or Louisville dates last tour. Probably cheaper than pre-hiatus. Still a good draw for alternative fans when coupled with staple alternative undercard acts (which I've also included on this lineup.)
MCR-We know they are a very real possibility thanks to Whit's source. He said they'd likely do either a Columbus show or Bunbury. They make a TON of sense for Bunbury, they love to book punk/emo headliners. Their reunion is a BIG deal and would move a lot of tickets.
PTM-overdue for Bunbury. Solid alternative #4 to attract that crowd. Would be a great closer for Sawyer Point
Illenium-Seems to be popular right now. Bunbury always has an EDM act in the top 5. Given their billing at Hangout, they make sense.
Undercard-Pretty much all names we've discussed and all bands that are/ likely will be on the festival circuit next year. Tossed in a Christian rapper because they seem to book one every year. Could probably use a few washed up 90s bands since they had a lot of those last year. Maybe Collective Soul or the Wallflowers

I don’t know that Post would be back already but I’d love this lineup top to bottom and would 100% be good with my VIP Early Bee.
Also.. I’d be pretty cool with Alice Merton or CHVRCHES as one of the femme acts.

I’d be pretty cool with Alice Merton or CHVRCHES as one of the femme acts. Those would both be amazing gets. I forgot about Alice Merton. She might be another one they try to stick on the River Stage despite her clearly being too big of a draw. Adding her onto my mock. Holding off on Chvrches for now because I saw somewhere they currently have no real plans to tour. Also, was thinking that Lorde could be a possible headliner since she's currently working on a new album that was on pace for an early 2020 release. However, I just read that as of November, her album had been delayed indefinitely. I guess her dog died suddenly and that totally threw her off, so she decided to scrap what she already had and restart almost from scratch. Doesn't look like she'll release it this year, and doesn't look like she's touring. I suppose it is possible that Bunbury had already booked her prior to this change of plans, but I'm ready to rule her out.

steve, were any of the possible undercard acts i listed in the part of the lineup you're source gave? My source didn't give me a full lineup, unfortunately. I only got a couple other than the headliner and the only one of those couple he was confident about being locked in was Third Eye Blind. EDIT to say I have strong reasons to suspect Yungblud will be on the undercard but can't confirm it

If that was the undercard, I'd be very, very happy regardless of the headliners.

MCR - Marshmello - Tame Impala - Vampire Weekend - Lil Wayne This seems very plausible. I'd be happy with this. Still, I just don't know if we'd share two headliners with Roo.

My Chemical Romance, Smashing Pumpkins, Billie Eilish Marshmello, Portugal the Man Glass Animals, Cake, Third Eye Blind, Angels and Airwaves, Grouplove Sum 41, Of Monsters and Men, Black Bear, The Struts, Conan Gray Oliver Tree, Yungblood, Denzel Curry, Badflower, Neck Deep, IDKHBTFM Japandroids, Coin, Grandson, Cave Town, White Reaper, Surfaces Moon Taxi, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Movements, Okkervil River
I don't know the popularity of most of these artists so I just guessed. They are certainly out of order but this is the type of lineup that I would love to see (more pop and hip hop I just don't know who to put lol)

I don't think that many would be back so quickly.

That lineup would put me squarely on the fence and if I decided to go I wouldn't be disappointed. Glass Animals is going to get my lean no matter what.
