I didn't see a thread, but if there is one feel free to merge.
I know this year they changed to a 3 day festival {was 2 days previous years}.
Pricing is pretty good currently. I bought a 3 day ticket that included camping for $89. That was part of a promotion during black Friday\cyber Monday. I think it's only gone up $10 though.
I'm a little worried that pricing is so low and they EXPANDED the days\artists. I don't need or want a huge headliner. I like to live in the up and comers and middle tier for sure.
Anyway, I'm hoping for the best. Anyone have any news or rumors?

I wouldn't be too concerned about the price being low - it seems like it's a festival with pretty low overhead because of utilising the Ren Fest grounds which leaves a greater percentage of operating costs to go towards booking fees.

Any idea what Bellwether pays a headliner? I have read that Bunbury pays their headliners around a million? Not sure if that is accurate or not. I would guess Bellwether to be around $100-$200 range but am just guessing.

3 headliners this time is great, so glad this fest keeps expanding. I’d be happy to see something along the lines of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Glass Animals - and some 90s act I completely forgot about that I’m suddenly excited to see

The cofounder of Bellwether just posted on Reddit a picture of last year with the title “Tuesday, February 11 at Noon.” I’m thinking lineup drop, if it is I’m wondering if it’s the full lineup or just the first half like last year.

I've attended both years! Loved the event. Moving it inside the actual ren grounds was a great move. Can't wait to see this years lineup... Clairo, Of Montreal, Glass Animals are what I'm hopeful for

I think he just wasn't "that into" the artists themselves. I like your list.... I might try to come up with a couple "realistic" ones myself.

Yea year one lineup wise was great with the lips, local natives, whitney, dr. dog etc. but the infrastructures inside the ren grounds was so much better than just an open field.

My brain doesn't work well for "hopeful lists". I created a running wishlist for Bunbury in 2016 and saved it to my google tasks. Going back and looking at it I would like to see the following (that would even remotely be possible):
kodaline Mark Kozelek sir sly morning parade Speedy Ortiz mates of state pop etc ra ra riot Griswolds Wolf Alice George ezra passion pit banners run river north the mountain goats sleigh bells Guster
.....no real thought put into that, like I said just a running tally I had from 2016 that I would like to see. Doubtful any of those are booked though. ha

Vampire Weekend have a Columbus show in September and are likely playing Nelsonville, so I wouldn't expect them at Bellwether

It was just announced that Foxy Shazam will be playing a reunion show on April 11th at the Taft Theater. I think that means they are unlikely for Bellwether, but not impossible.

It's definitely not my favorite. If Of Montreal and Washed Out were playing normal sets too this lineup would look WAY better.

Definitely heavy on the Alt/Folk/Rock at the top of the lineup.
There is definitely no WOW factor here. But there are some solid acts. Don't know if it's enough to pull the trigger though. This will definitely be a wait and see as to how I spend my money on other shows or festivals.
