Hey y'all! It's been awhile.
With festivals and traditional (non drive-in) concerts most likely being cancelled until 2022, I wanted to try and stir up some discussion for some possible touring acts for 2022, when hopefully a vaccine will be extremely widespread. This doesn't include tours that have been postponed. I'd say that looking at album release dates for 2020 and 2021, here are a few likely candidates:

It's about time we fire this forum back up. Let's try to get some positivity back out here about live music! I think it'd be easy for me to say "everyone" since I'm sure bands are going to want to maximize their earnings after not having any for a year and not to mention their stage crews as well. I think you'll also see (totally random as they came top of mind as artists in studio or having just released albums this year): Bleachers, Metallica, Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, Glass Animals, Saint Motel, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Cudi, Foster the People, Big Grams (back in studio together!), Miley Cyrus, etc. Are there any confirmed for next year at all yet? I know some festivals have already shifted dates to the fall, and some EDM/DJ's have started posting booked dates (real club or venues ones as of now) for next fall, but those have also been overseas and not in the US to my knowledge. I'm very curious who will be the first few acts to swing through town here. I think my desire for live music will cause me to be more opened minded to shows that roll through first if it's someone outside of my usual tastes/interests haha.

I just checked the PromoWest website for fun, and they have a couple of rescheduled shows in April (Dance Gavin Dance and Milky Chance). I feel like these could still go on as scheduled if the timeline for vaccine distribution is on point (or faster). It's doubtful though. I feel like festivals that are held later in the year, like Outside Lands, could still happen, again, if the vaccine distribution timeline is on point.
