Upon further lineup review…I just can’t justify spending the $$ to see like 5 artists. Not into rap or DJs/electronic music producers. It pains me to say that since I live like 4 miles away from Waterfront Park and have gone every year since 2011. I’m really struggling to understand where they spent all the $ if this was the most they ever spent. On Saturday literally the only 2 I would see are Tame and Phoebe. Sunday…not a single one appeals to me. Friday only Clairo, Still Woozy and Indigo De Souza. And they moved the Ocean stage from under the overpass to the wharf next to the main stage (where the Ferris wheel was the past few years) and it is going to be fully tented. Ugh…that sounds like rave central. Also, looks like no bourbon lodge again. I hope the National do their homecoming fest again up in Cincy. Some of those details make it far less appealing. Tame is like one of those bucket list acts for me, but I don't know if I can justify the cost for what I'm getting in return. I really considered just going on Saturday but I can’t justify spending that much to just see Phoebe and Tame. And, like you, I have always wanted to see Tame. Such a bummer….

Since we are considering this general festival discussion. What other festivals are people considering this year? Forecastle is still on the table for me but not looking at likely as I was expecting. Bonnaroo is pretty much out (1. because hearing the headliners that are rumored, I have no faith the undercard is going to blow it out of the water, and 2. I wont be able to get the SO to want to do camping for 4/5 days).
We'll definitely do Wonderbus barring a lineup that just completely doesn't appeal because we live so close but I've always toyed around with the idea to traveling to another city for another festival outside of just the convenient ones.

I have tickets to WonderRoad and Wonderbus. Wonderbus' lineups have been so solid these last few years, and Wonder Road's is strong enough that I bet on another good one and got presale tickets. $99 for a two day pass is too good a deal to pass up based on their lineup, and the friends I go with live less than ten minutes away. Actually, I'm considering a trip to Florida with some friends in March, and they've brought up checking out Innings festival in Tampa. Tickets are reasonable ($165 for two days) given the lineup has a TON of bands I want to see, headlined by Green Day and Lumineers. Innings and Shaky Knees have BY FAR the best lineups of the year.

WonderStruck is the most likely for me, pending lineup. I expect WonderBus will have the better lineup again, but it's too close to the Labor Day trip we have scheduled. Summerfest is always possible, as my GF lives 1 1/2 hours from there.

I'm too lazy to look right the second but are Wonderbus tickets still in the pre-sale phase? I know Wonderstruck's just stopped recently.

That tells me that the Wonderstruck lineup is probably imminent if they stopped the pre sale. They indicated on social media that it would be this month, followed by Wonderbus.

I noticed that GirlTalk just announced a tour today and starts it in Cleveland in March and ends it in the Spring in Pittsburgh but suspiciously doesn't have a Columbus date. Makes me think that could mean he will be at Wonderbus...

What’s up everyone!!!! Hope you guys are having a great 2022 so far
As far as personal taste that forecastle lineup is great for me (can’t believe they got earl Sweatshirt one of my favorite artists). Would’ve been nice if they could’ve thrown another good indie band in but at this point just gonna take what I can get I haven’t been to a festival since 2019

Im thinking about Bonnaroo if I can get a good deal on a ticket and maybe weasel my way into a campsite. The headliners do unfortunately nothing for me other than maybe Stevie Nicks but I love the undercard especially Friday (and Ive been chasing king gizzard for 3 years now). I gotta throw one more in but I don’t know what. If only there was a festival in Cincinnati in early June with a great diverse lineup. Surely that would sell out

It feels like they have officially pivoted from the type of festival they were back years ago, although I've only gone once so I don't have any room to complain really haha. It was going to be a stretch to be able to make it due to a bachelor's party the following weekend so this lineup just helped me better settle with the idea of not being able to go.

The Head and the Heart and Shakey Graves are coming to Kemba (Express) Live in September, and Fitz and the Tantrums/St. Paul & The Broken Bones are coming to Dayton in June. Can rule both of them out for Wonderbus, but super excited to catch both of these shows this summer, they have dates here in Indy too!

oh howdy everyone. finally caught up on this and have coped with the death of bunbury — absolute bummer, best VIP experience out there for the money. i got VIP tickets to WonderRoad as a gift for Xmas and the value there is nonexistent… still don’t completely hate the lineup though.
will also be doing shaky knees, mopop (assuming it’s on for this year…?), and riot fest. i’m starved for some fests!
oh — in other news, how about that when we were young fest? no doubt that doesn’t sell out in 20 seconds and that it won’t be an absolute trainwreck. would be down af if it was for three days.

See I was taking the Fitz touring dates as they would be coming to Wonderbus since they avoided Columbus (and typically they stop in Columbus) but I guess I don't usually see people choose Dayton over Columbus for touring so perhaps that's why I was thinking that and am probably wrong.

I know some people that have been losing their minds over this lineup. I would probably go to something like this (really any reason to take a Vegas trip), but the $200+ ticket kind of is throwing me off for a one day festival admittedly. I think it'll sell out when presale goes on sale on Friday. So I think anyone that is interested should jump on it right away or wait until right before it when people have to sell their tickets or something.

I think Inkcarceration is being announced tomorrow. So far I've heard that Korn, Papa Roach, Code Orange, Breaking Ben, and I Prevail are going to be there. Not sold on it yet. Kinda missing the mark for me in terms of variety and relevancy. IDK what would sell me at this point... maybe Bring me the Horizon or Blink w/ Tom lmao. I have high hopes. Also WHO DEY!?

Has anyone tried to get the When We Were Young tickets? I haven't heard they sold out of Day 3 yet, which I'm surprised.
I got a presale code but haven't jumped on it.
Also, the Governors Ball lineup.....very meh. I'm starting to think some festivals are pulling back on production and spending on lineups since a few years without revenue because some of these lineups this year have been wildly underwhelming

Also saw they mentioned that there will be acts returning from the cancelled 2020 lineup, so hopefully that includes Of Monsters and Men, Saint Motel, Brittany Howard and Matt Maeson. Sounds like this could be a pretty killer lineup. I'm excited.

Any thoughts on who could be in the area the weekend of July 9-10 and could be the headliner? I don't follow those things as closely since Bunbury is dead. Manchester Orchestra has a one-off show July 10 in Canada. Maybe them on the 9th? Not sure they would be the "biggest" though they would be to me.

Well, Elevation does like to use the same headliners a lot. Indy and Cleveland are far enough apart, I could see them having Vampire Weekend as a headliner there too, in addition to Wonder Road. Based on other festivals that have released lineups and who we know are touring, here are some bands that might fit that description: Tame Impala (hey, they're headlining every festival at this point lol), MGK, Weezer, Glass Animals all seem plausible without being too crazy big
