Gwen Stefani will be having a baby around this time. It's not them. Prego Gwen doing pushups on stage... haha.. that would be something... Welp, anyone think of any other bands in the past few years to reunite?? THE VIOLENT FEMMES?? Now THAT would be my ultimate happy pick.

I'm just glad that we have a festival here that has some great bands. Sure, it's not Bonnaroo or Forecastle, but I'd venture to say that in their 3rd year they weren't the best around either. For years Cincy has been skipped over by a lot of bands who go from Lexington/Louisville directly to Columbus. Bunbury is a big step in the right direction and as with any venture there will be bumps in the road. Keep in mind though that two years ago Imagine Dragons was one of the bands no one had heard of and now they are a multi-Grammy-winning artist. Baby steps. Lollapalooza wasn't built in a day. So true. Not many knew twenty one pilots last year, and they brought the house down... etc Firefly blows me away. Their 2nd/3rd year, I think.... and they KILLED it again.

You are absolutely right. I think most of us forward thinking people understand this. Though, it's also okay to be disappointed with the lineup while still understanding the situation. I'm not speaking for those people who are just coming on and saying this lineup sucks. My disappointment comes from the last two years having so many bands that I already knew and loved. So coming into a lineup this year of bands that I either don't like or don't know very well, it's a disappointment. That's not to say I don't support the event. I already purchased my tickets before the announcement was made, and I'm sure I will be there regardless. I'm sure I will even find some bands I love before the show starts. But it's just kind of a disappointing announcement where I stand. I still think it will be a great time. For the record, if it turned out to be The Replacements, I'd take back everything I said. Definitely not expecting that though.

Bunbury was my first multi day festival. I've seen a lot of bands in my time, but I've never done the festival thing until they came to my home town. I will be going to Nelsonville Festival at the end of May. It's a much smaller deal, but I'm very excited about it.
I went to Summerfest in Columbus last year. It's only a one day thing, but had Matt and Kim, Ra Ra Riot, Cold War Kids, and four or five other bands. Was a lot of fun.

Best lineup of the year so far. Ughhhh BONNAROO!? It's not even close for me Bonnaroo's lineup is good just not for me and not compared to it's previous years in my opinion. Firefly seems more my style and I've never been to that before I've done Bonnaroo 4 times.

I REALLY wanna do Voodoo one year... they always have a killer lineup.

South By Southwest (Austin, TX) Midwest Music Summit (Indianapolis, IN) Red Gorilla Music Fest (Austin, TX) Music Now (Cincinnati, OH) Midpoint (Cincinnati, OH) Gentlemen Of The Road (Troy, OH) Nelsonville Music Festival (Nelsonville, OH) Bunbury (Cincinnati, OH) International Pop Overthrow (Chicago, IL) Popopolis (Cincinnati, OH) Treasure Island Music Festival (San Francisco, CA) Summerfest (Columbus, OH) I think that covers it for me. Most of these I've been to multiple times.

I can see why it's not for everyone but it is so perfect in my opinion. The hip-hop and r&b in it take it way past any other festival for me Kanye, Lauryn Hill, Lionel Richie, Ice Cube, Bobby Womack, Frank Ocean, Chance The Rapper, Janelle Monae... too much awesome!

Joel. Thanks for the Spotify playlist! Much appreciated you taking your time to do that. You're welcome! I did it last year just for me, but then people started subscribing to it who I didn't know, so I figured why not tell people about it. I like it better than the one Bunbury did last year. I like having the option to do four songs in a row by the same band to get an idea of what they sound like or to put it on shuffle and just see what you find.

Sounds to me like a confirmation on Afghan Whigs, but we shall see. And yes, I got tired of proving I was human, so I'm officially a member now. lol It's not Afghan Whigs - they are out of town that weekend on their own dates.

These are all off another website about bands that reunited in 2013: Madness, Jesus & Mary Chain, The Postal Service, Texas, Deacon Blue, yes Deacon Blue, Fall Out Boy, New Order, Dinosaur Jr, The Black Crowes, My Bloody Valentine Read more at www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/why-are-we-still-so-excited-about-reunited-bands-playing-festivals#1Q9sDoI8w4M2QHFD.99I can tell you with certainty, NONE of those are correct. Postal Service are back on hiatus, Texas will be in the UK, New Order isn't schedule any additional US dates per their fansite till July, Jesus and mary Chain are taking a break from each other, Madness will be in the UK at Bunbury time and Bunbury isn't paying to fly them over, MBV are not touring....

According to their own website and facebook page, they only have dates scheduled through May so far. Unless you know something that they haven't published yet. Their site does say more dates to be announced.
