Does anyone have details about promofest fest. Well it be similar with tickets. Single day, 3 day, and vip....etc. I hope my husband doesn't tell me I've hit my concert budget for the year with Bunbury. This month, hell this week, has been very expensive for tickets...Garth goes on sale tomorrow. Sigh.... |

I'm also curious how many of the undercard we suspected that aren't there that were maybe held for Promowest Fest. I was JUST about to bring this up. I fully expect Borns and St. Motel to be at PromoWest Fest. Borns has played Newport here in town (run by Promowest) and sold it out (in fact, he was supposed to be at The Basement, which holds a few hundred at best, and tickets went off the shelves so fast that they moved it) and he came around for the Bleachers tour too so they know people will turn out for him. St. Motel I think SHOULD have that album out around the summer time (I would imagine since they are touring off of an EP at this point) so they will surely look to jump on some festivals that aren't finalized yet. Some of the other ones that people expected "Ra Ra Riot" and "Bloc Party" are both going to be at PromoWest venues around Ohio and Pittsburgh so I think there's a solid shot you see them as well. I have a feeling I'm going to be angry when the PWfest lineup comes out. Having bought Bunbury VIP and paid for travel already, I won't be doing another festival the following month. |

It definitely makes it difficult. I was surprised when they announced Promowest Fest because of managing Bunbury. It almost seems like they are competing, or will end up competing. I have to say that I'm a little shocked to not see Santigold on the bill for Bunbury, especially with her new album dropping this week. That is surprising. She's doing a show here at Newport on 4/20 (that is sure to be wild) so going to Cinci in June wouldn't be any kind of "too much too soon" type thing. Already got my ticket!!! I can't wait to see her live. |

I know it sounds weird, but I just want to do a decent festival with my wife....and for us vip works well. I might hold out hope for promofest. Forecastle vip is still available so that is an option I guess |

That's not weird at all. We sprung for VIP this year...it's our first time doing anything like that. We wanted to do it last year, but were too slow on our roll. I hope VIP for Promowest Fest isn't too expensive, and maybe we can do that too. I just don't want to have to sell my first born to do it...although, there are days I would be happy to do that...he is three afterall. haha I'm looking forward to a full report of your experience in VIP! I mean I would think they pulled it because they didn't want people circulating it before they made the official announcement. I can't imagine a lineup being put out there and them pulling it to make changes to an actual lineup. Acts have already been locked in so I don't know how they'd do that unless they intentionally leaked a fake lineup. |

Acts have already been locked in so I don't know how they'd do that unless they intentionally leaked a fake lineup. Wouldn't it be something if someone doctored a really good fake and sent it around? But even if they did, I would think it would have much bigger acts in the undercard. Like I thought the leak last year was fake. Or maybe it was an "intentional" leak by Bunbury. Hell, maybe the release today has even more bands. ...or someone just goofed. |

I'm pretty content with that lineup personally so I would be disappointed if that was someone just faking one and we got something drastically different. I mean I will say that Ice Cube and Tears for Fears were pretty random but that didn't lead me to think it was a fake. |

If memory serves it was morning parade and someone else line 4 days before (announced that is). I think Panama wedding and joywave were added late.
That's going way back. I think a few others stdropped off earlier. I remember morning parade vividly. I really wanted to see them.
I think some of the lesser known bands get calls from heavy hitters to go on tour with them.
Like "nothing but thieves" just cancelled some dates oversees because muse called them. Haha
