The map on the app shows the Sawyer Point stage as the permanent stage in that area and not a separate dedicated stage like last year. I kind of hope that's wrong because I thought the acoustics for that stage were shit last year. I'm looking on my laptop and it appears the usual temp stage is on there. I tweeted them about the map, and they said later today for it to be updated.

I didn't want to start a new topic about it and it seems that the VIP section has been discussed quite a bit here. If anybody knows of anybody looking for a VIP pass, let me know. My buddy baled on me and I have an extra wristband. I am looking to get something for it, but at this point would just like to get rid of it. I would take a little less than face for it.

If you look at the app Elle King is the 8th most scheduled act. Coleman Hell is 20th and Here Come The Mummies are 22nd most scheduled. The logical thing to do is move Elle King unopposed on Sawyer Point from 9:00 to 10:00. Move the Mummies to Sawyer Point from 7:00 to 7:45 which would overlap with Coleman Hell. I can see your logic here. It's not a bad idea. I'm guessing there has been no update to the schedule now that TFF cancelled?

I keep expecting a tweet announcing an adjustment or at least a change to the schedule on the website, but still nothing. I saw a tweet on Fri that they will not be replacing TFF at this late date. Having everyone try to cram into the river stage because Mummies are the only thing going at that time would be incredibly stupid. I would think at the very least, they have to move them to Sawyer Point, right?

So, it looks like I'm doing VIP this year. Apparently, I won 2 VIP tickets from McDonalds. Perhaps, I'll see some of you there.

I can ask my friend, but I don't know if he already made plans. PM me how much you're willing to take for it.

question: Yeatman's Cove is the Main Stage and Sawyer Point is the 2nd stage right? Doesn't that seem a little ass-backwards based on what I"m seeing from the map and how the crowd layout would be?

Yeah weather definitely took a turn for the worst it looks. I'm scared to look now. It'll change three more times before the weekend. I got married two weekends ago and the weather changed every two hours. Two weeks out, sunny. One week out, rain. Four days out, sunny. Two days out, rain. One day out, rain. Day of, cloudy.

Any idea what time the gates will open? Is VIP earlier? I tweeted and asked this morning but no response... Per their website: Gates Festival gates open at 1pm on Friday and Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday. Additional entrances will be located at Public Landing, near Yeatman's Cove. If tickets are still available, they can be purchased at the festival box office located at the main entrance at Sawyer Point on the corner of Eggleston Ave. and Pete Rose Way.

I asked what time the box office was opening Friday for will call (since I won the Friday night Free Bee package), and they said 12pm, but earlier if they have enough volunteers.
My guess, as soon as they have enough people to work the gates, they will start letting people in.

Ugh, these conflicts are also fucking bullshit. The best undercards are up against eachother but f'n Charles Bradley, Haim, Mudcrutch, G. Love, Umphreys, Of Monster and Men get the ENTIRE FESTIVAL to themselves.

Love, Umphreys, Of Monster and Men get the ENTIRE FESTIVAL to themselves. Looking at the schedule again, I got a little more annoyed: Friday: 5 hours where only one band is playing, 6.25 hours if you include the headliner. From 7:30 to 10:45 only ONE BAND is playing at a time. The festival is going to be a nut house. Sat: 4 hours where only one band is playing, 5.25 hours if you include the headliner Sun: 4.75 hours where only one band is paying, 6 hours if you include the headliner. From 8 to 11:15 only ONE BAND is playing at a time. Nutty again. That's a lot of people packed into the same stage at a time. Break that shit up!

Might go this route even though it requires an hour drive each way. I'd rather deal with that time in my car out of the elements than waiting outside in whatever the hell the weather decides to do with a bunch of grumpy people and staff looking to work out the kinks.

They didn't let anyone in until exactly the time they said. And I was VIP too

Question: I was reading through their list of stuff you can't bring in and they listed professional photography equipment and camera's with detachable lenses as things they won't allow in. I have one of those Sony Cybershots and I was curious if anyone thought they would consider that "Professional Photography" or not.
