Yeah, it seems kind of out of the norm for them to go that small. They are playing Bonnaroo for god's sake! I can guarantee if they play Bunbury, VIP will sell out almost instantly. They have a very loyal following. I'm a fan, will be seeing them at Bonnaroo for the tenth time. Wuuld love to see them at Bunbury also, but it definitely would sell quick. Every PJ show Ive been too there's always people from all over the country there. Bunbury would certainly need to loosen up the set schedules for PJ. They can't do just and hour and 15 minutes. I hope the lengthen set schedules this year. Those hour long sets were stupid with some of the names they got.

I think everyone should name a list of 10 bands and see who can get the most right. If you have any inside intel you are disqualified ha Blink-182 Leon Bridges X Ambassadors St Lucia Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Saint Motel Oh Wonder Moon Taxi The Oh Hellos Logic

Now if I post it you'll just think I copied haha. I guess if we want to do this fair we should have a cutoff date and PM your 10 list to me and I can post everyones on the cut off date. Or we can all just post here for fun.

Cross off your hopes for Radiohead. They are headlining a festival in Barcelona, Spain the weekend of Bunbury.

I'm sure we'll get one headliner from Gov Ball, Beck or The Killers seem like good bets.

Has anyone put together a list of names that are already taken up for Governors Ball and the festival across the pond that same weekend? I would think anyone playing Governors Ball would be out of play to begin with. Although they distances would easily be able to be covered I just don't see it being plausible for someone to play two in the same weekend unless it was a DJ or something.

Several bands played both the Governors Ball and Bunbury last year despite being on the same weekend. So I'm guessing some will again this year.

Wow I didn't realize there was that great of a crossover. That has my hopes high then. I LOVE the Governors Ball lineup and undercard. So fingers crossed for high crossover. I wonder if the PromoWest Fest they just announced for here in Columbus will have any effect on artists that are booked (radius clause) or if they would package a deal (we will give you X amount to play both festivals) type thing. They are 2 hours apart so I would tend to think they will try to make sure to not book any of the same acts.

I'm an idiot. Governors Ball isn't that weekend, it's Forecastle. Which would be a quick trip up for some acts if they played both that weekend.

Much like my Radiohead post last week, I'm going to throw a longshot headliner out there...yesterday Arcade Fire announced they're playing two festivals in Europe in July.
On a more realistic note, I'm thinking about likely headliners. Seems we all agree Flo is pretty likely. Others I have on a list as possible are Beck, Killers, Strokes, Kings of Leon, Blink 182, Mumford and Sons, Pearl Jam. Any further thoughts on those?

Beck - Playing in New York on the 2nd - BUnbury dates open Killers - Only have one date in Vegas. Doesn't seem likely unless they announce a tour. Strokes - Only playing Govs Ball Kings of Leon - Only have dates at Firefly Blink - Only have dates at Firefly Mumford - Open for Bunbury - playing NY on the 15th. Pearl Jam - I still think is too big. Hard to tell though with these artists because none of them have really any tour dates.

With Edward Sharpe just announcing a new album, I would expect them to announce more dates than just the Coachella stop they have right now.

Also Modest Mouse and Brand New announced a coheadlining tour which starts June 28. One of their stops is PromoWest's Stage AE in Pitt. Granted I dont think Brand New will be back considering they played last year, but a possibility of Modest Mouse playing? Wild Belle also have two dates through PromoWest

I'll throw Ed Sheeran out there as someone I would like to see. I remember a lot of people guessing him for one of the hive hints last year, so it seems like he could be a good fit. I don't see where he has any upcoming performance dates, so I have no clue how possible Bunbury would be.

They also don't have a Columbus date to my knowledge, which is suspicious since they are playing the State AE. I think they shoot to the top of the PromoFest Fest. Now if Bunbury could get Florence, that would be amazing. I saw her at Bonnaroo last year and it was hands down the best show of the entire festival.
