So the longtime members of this board are mostly disappointed, ticket sales are apparently down, and the lineup has not been met with the enthusiasm the organizers hoped. Where do they go from here? Give me back that 2015 lineup.

Give me back that 2015 lineup. Yep. Heard a Bleachers song this morning, and I had totally forgot that they were there in 2015. There were too many great bands to even remember them all.

Give me back that 2015 lineup. I think last year was still my favorite. But 2015 was a close second, and light years ahead of this years.

2013 was awesome - Fun, Twenty One Pilots, Robert Delong, Walk The Moon, Tegan & Sara. I think 2014 had Bear Hands, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Fitz. And 2015 was great too. We didn't go last year because we didn't dig the lineup - This year was looking promising until I realized how few acts there actually are once they broke it down by day. We already paid for VIP, which I heard improved last year, but I'm really hoping there's another big act or 2 that hasn't announced their tour yet.

I hope for your sake there are a few adds, but Promowest's history says that from here on out, there will only be cancellations.

How does everyone know ticket sales are down, other than VIP not selling out? Nobody's ever excited on fest forums because you never get everything you want, but based on what I'm seeing on the Facebook/Twitter/Instagrams people are stoked for BassLights and Muse...I know I am! Not much hype for Friday's acts, but overall I think it's a solid lineup and it's always a good time.

Mostly speculation based on the fact that the daily lineups were a few weeks later than the last couple years. They don't release the dailys until they want to start selling single day tickets (meaning they exhausted their 3 day allotment). Also, last year I remember a ton of messages warning us that 3 day GA were running out and to hurry. I haven't noticed that this year. All of this, coupled with the VIP sales, makes us think they are struggling.

I guess I am an old man but I prefer bands to hip hop and EDM when I am going to a live show. I like those things sprinkled in but they have a heavy presence this year. I will still have fun I am sure.

It seems impossible that there's not another big act to be added on Saturday. They've stated that Bassnectar and PL won't play opposite one another - so who does that leave for the other mainstage headliner? Dram? I like him but he's definitely not a headliner at this point. Then again, I would say the same about Wiz and G-Eazy, but they are much bigger and at least you have DCFC and the Shins on the other stage. It also seems more and more likely that we are looking at a 2 stage fest based on the small lineup. Really a shame. I'm pretty disappointed.

Never really looked at it that way but you're right, there is no one to headline stage 2 on Sat. Still hoping they add more local and smaller bands and utilize the river stage as well.

Agreed but if they are trying to sell tickets they better announce them soon to give people time to buy them.

Having seen both Pretty Lights and Bassnectar before (and recently at Okeechobee Music Fest), I can tell you they are fantastic live.

This board is a ghost town, as is the bunbury subreddit. Twitter doesn't seem to have much discussion either. Is anyone talking about this fest anywhere? We're less than 4 weeks out!

Truly a subpar lineup this year and with their tendency to announce everything late, I fully believe that people have really lost interest in this festival. It's a shame. It was really picking up momentum. There are so many festivals now with great lineups in cool places and you can plan ahead. They are just missing the boat IMO

I messaged Bunbury on Facebook and they just confirmed 3 stages this year- the question now is how do they possibly fill 3 stages with the number of acts each day? There's going to be a lot of downtime at each stage for sure- maybe there won't be any overlap at all.

Maybe longer sets? It would be cool if they gave some of the undercards a headliner length set!

Either more bands announced soon or longer set times would be cool. Good to hear the 3rd stage is still a thing.
Also, I just tweeted them asking about the schedule. Anyone know what date we got it last year? I know it felt pretty late.

Anyone know what date we got it last year? I know it felt pretty late. They were announced on Thursday, May 12 last year. I saw a tweet from them last week saying the set times would be released around the same time as last year. So hopefully we'll have that info by the end of this week!

Speculations and chances on another act or two being announced? I would like to see another rock act for Saturday.

I can't imagine they would wait this long - I was hoping for a surprise Walk The Moon announcement but it seems unlikely they would wait til so close if they could have sold more tickets by announcing sooner.

I'm guessing there will be just be a few smaller/local acts like last year. Worn Flints weren't announced until a couple weeks before, and they ended up being one of my favorite sets. I'd love to be surprised with another big act, because man the Saturday lineup blows.

Some really dumb conflicts. Arkells Dreamers, Mutemath Shins, San Fermin VHS Collection.

So much for crowd control, you have the entire festival switching back and forth between 2 stages from pretty much 7 on for all 3 days. Bunbury I thought you were in the rise, but you're backsliding.

People complaining about conflicts, and people complaining about crowd control because there aren't enough conflicts. Nobody is happy in this board!
I've always loved Bunbury because I'm not forced to choose between headliners like you are at larger fests. This schedule really isn't that different than it was in 2015 and 2016. There are what, five fewer acts than there were last year? But.. we get 12 acoustic sets?! Find something to get excited about and be happy Bunbury is a little different. It's not my favorite Bunbury lineup of all time, but I'm still very much looking forward to 2017.

The acoustic stage is definitely a nice addition. I guess it will be at that pavilion where the other 2nd stage used to be. Which means VIP would not be in there...hmm.
Fri looks good for me. July Talk, Civil Twilight, Mutemath, Death Cab. Sat is still horrible IMO. The biggest problem with Sun is trying to catch Rev Horton and still being able to get a good spot for Muse. May be impossible, in fact.
