This is how I would do it too. I was about to have a big long post about how big of a swing and a miss it would be for them to have a headliner perform in an opener slot. But now thinking about it. That's exactly why they put Blink and the Chainsmokers on Friday night and Saturday looks weak. They know Chainsmokers need to leave early so they put them on the mainstage and then say there are 2 that night and have Blink play after them but they are both billed as headliners. Obviously not ideal at all because it makes Saturday look weird but that's probably what they are stuck with. It still throws me off how the lineup poster says Chainsmokers/Blink-182. It's almost like they listed it like that to have an easy cop out if one of the artist bails. Just a thought? The more I think about it, the more it seems the chainsmokers could drop. Obviously I don't know how the booking worked with promowest, but I'd imagine they shelled out a pretty penny to book these guys. So if they're playing an opener slot I'd say that's a real kick in the dick for bunbury. Back to the logistics, vegas is in pacific time, so I wouldn't rule out them closing sawyer point. so with a 3 hour flight leaving at around 10, that puts them in vegas around 10. At the end of the day it shouldn't be too tough for them to just show up and hit play.

And speaking of lollapalooza, that lineup drops tomorrow. Excited to see who they'll bring. I'm hearing they'll land vampire weekend and arctic monkeys

Me personally, I'm not buying tickets to see Chainsmokers, but if they drop out, you'll have a complete disaster with ppl asking for refunds. Chainsmokers are huge and I bet a lot of ppl are buying tickets just to see them. I guess we'll see though, cause like you've all mentioned, Cincy to Vegas on the same day makes no sense for them.

No doubt that Bunbury will get backlash if Chainsmokers back out. Although most on the forum aren't super super excited to see them, there is no denying that they will sell a lot of tickets. There will be a lot of people who buy a 1 day pass and don't show up until about 7pm on Friday

I just got my girl friends and I's weekend passes last Friday and noticed that they are still in Tier 2. I thought that was a little surprising, but I don't know how that works and how many tickets are a part of each tier.

In the past, early bee prices are before the lineup is announced tier 1 last until the daily schedule is put out tier 2 last until about 6 week before the fest tier 3 remains

if Lolla blows their lineup, we will all know that this summer is officially the undercard year Congrats everyone! Bunbury is 10x better than Lolla this year Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, The National, Vampire Weekend on the top 2 lines. I like it. Weird how the Weeknd is the number 1 billed. I think I might go actually. I like the lineup enough.

I actually think Lolla looks great. I like Bruno Mars personally, but even past that. Arctic Monkeys, The National, Vampire Weekend, Portugal the Man, Chvrches, St Vincent, Walk the Moon, Lykke Li, Franz Ferdinand, Superorganism, Parquet Courts, Cigarettes After Sex, The Vaccines, The Wombats, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Greta Van Fleet, Manchester Orchestra. They still have Jack White, Post Malone, Sir Sly, Gangs of Youths...
Much like Bunbury itself if you look past the top line there is a ton of good stuff there. I certainly don't think Bunbury is 10 times better. If I wasn't already going to Forecastle, I may add Lolla onto my own personal schedule.

I like the Lolla undercard more so than it's headliners. I've always been kind of negative on Lolla though because it seems it crams every artist humanly possible on a lineup and from what I've heard the park is always crammed in and I dont' know that I'd love that type of viewing experience for a festival.

One of the reasons I'll take Bunbury over Lolla is because you can easily see all the artists you want since very few overlap more than 20mins or so. I would hate being at a big festival and have to pick between which headliner I want to see.

I'm assuming that lower tier goes beyond the second line.
Friday - Bishop Briggs Saturday - Gang of Youths Sunday - Can't choose between Sir Sly and Black Pistol Fire.

Friday: Bishop Briggs - new "White Flag" song is very catchy Saturday: Magic Giant Sunday: Sir Sly but Black Pistol Fire will be amazing too (PLEASE DON'T SCHEDULE THEM AT THE SAME TIME PROMOWEST!)

Out of curiosity, does Bunbury ever get a decent mosh pit going? Never saw one last year but I'm thinking Blink, Front Bottoms, Dropkick Murphys, Coheed, and Manchester might bring it out of the crowd.

Forgot to say this because I didn't put it together at the time, but I saw Tall Heights open for Judah and the Lion at Bogarts. They were a pretty solid live act, should be a decent early afternoon set

I think this year is going to be stressful running back and fourth between stages trying to catch all the acts I want to see. Also, based on the artists, I'm assuming that they are not doing the relaxed acoustic stage this year? Probably just 2 main stages and the river stage

That southwest sound stage was pretty sweet because they had those inflatable couches that people took all over the park I was disappointed I never really got to check that stage out last year I really just went there to chill in the early afternoon. Never actually heard any of the music. I specifically remember sitting there in the shade and watching Dreamers from a distance. Highly recommended area to chill

Sent a message to The Chainsmokers Reddit and asked about the logistics of them playing in Columbus and Vegas the same night. Many people responded back that they actually do this a lot and have a private jet that flys them in. Although the Vegas venue claims the shows starts at 10:30 vegas time, they actually dont go on stage until around 1:30am. They absolutely have enough time to get to Vegas for the show although it would be stressful.
