Honestly don’t know if greenday will be on tour but I just heard Boulevard of Broken dreams at work and I was like “oh yeah I could definitely see this at bunbury”

I know whitneyhouston has a promowest source, but has anyone heard how promowest feels about the past festival? I’d imagine they’re thrilled to have a full sell out, but anyone know any other info? That’ll for sure have a lot of say in who they book for next year

That’ll for sure have a lot of say in who they book for next year From what I was told, overall they viewed it as a big success. The thing they were most concerned about was the river stage getting TOO crowded - likely going to move back to where it was 2017 or go 4 stages... have the river and the field stage. Also, be aware that they were alert to the post fans ruining Coheed's set. Coheed asked to no be booked right before him but no luck in moving because Dropkick wouldn't play that spot. There are already talks about layout and how to improve pedestrian flow by the beer garden. Sorry that I don't have a ton of details yet!

Well that kind of makes me think that PromoWest might not be booking Coheed anytime soon then. I'm not familiar what the Field stage is but I'd welcome anything that would improve it so we could see the acts on the River Stage better. Why did they go away from that old layout that was kind of longer and went under the other bridge?

I think we can expect this next line up to be really similar. I’m glad they seem to be addressing everyone’s biggest issues. I hope they keep the river stage for small local acts

Coheed and promowest probably aren’t incredibly happy with each other but I’m not sure what else they could’ve done, maybe switch them with Lecrae? The “field” stage was basically on the grassy pasture above the river stage near the Miller lite bar area. Wasn’t a bad stage, caught a good mutemath set there. It’ll take some creative problem solving from bunbury to get this figured out but I’m sure they can swing it

Aren't you a huge Brand New fan? Not sure if they already announced or not. Just looked online and don't see any Promowest dates on Brand New's Tour Schedule, so maybe he sent you that pic for a heads up.

So now that my festival season is halfway over and there’s not a ton of news circulating for 2019 I’ve been browsing reddtit. Word on the streets twenty one pilots is beginning their cryptic album cycle, I’ll officially wager them as a headliner for 2019

Blink 182, Marshmellow

SWAP THE MAIN STAGE CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP haha every time I mention this to my sources, they just smile. There HAS to be something that they don't want to share with us What's the big secret? I mean, if they have a good reason, share it. Access is bad or they don't like the sound for headliners..whatever just tell us? It's not like there's some secret Illuminati reason for it that would cause them to die if they revealed it.

The only logical thing is that there is more room behind the stage for artist stuff. I use the entrance behind the main stage and it looks jammed packed. I dont know how much room is left behind the other stage though. Also, the main stage is more visible from the bridges and across the river so maybe they treat it as free marketing too?

It had to be something with them being able to store the trailers and artist RVs right behind the stage and can get in and out with the back street alongside US Bank Arena. I love that area for "secret" entrance but that's it. I think the skyline with the yellow bridge behind the other stage is far better for photo optics.

Women headliners were no question under represented this year so I do think there will be an effort to grab one, id hope for the XX or Lorde or the Yeah yeah yeahs. Definitely will be some edm and I could definitely see that being Odesza or Zedd or Marshmello

The xx would sell me a ticket regardless of the rest of the schedule.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are also great but they feel like an act that would close the second stage. Or possibly hit the main stage right before the headliner like Blink 182 was supposed to do.
I'm not a big Lorde fan, but she would be a good get for the festival.
The only other ones I think that fit would be Florence or maybe Gwen Stefani (or No Doubt if they are touring next year)
The Chainsmokers brought a lot of people to the festival, and people like Beyonce are headlining bigger festivals, so they could bring in a female pop act as a headliner. We wouldn't draw a Beyonce but there are plenty of female pop singers out there that would help sell out a festival.
I'm not saying I want it to go that way. Just saying it's something else to add to the mix when thinking of who might be there.

I was able to get a little info yesterday at a pre july 4th cookout... 1) From what my source told me, Blink will be listed on the lineup as a "headliner" just like this year however they currently are NOT planning on them closing down a stage. They are trying to book bigger acts just like this past year. 2) Source said they are going to try to get me what they call the "witch hunt list" as soon as they can get a look 3) They are trying hard to get a female artist higher up on the bill this year
