Well 21 Pilots has officially announced their new tour and a new album both starting in October. Curiously the closest they get to Cincinnati or their own home town is Cleveland. Kind of makes me wonder if they don't already have something in mind down this way. Bunbury next year? The not yet announced Midpoint Festival this year which would be at the end of September? I imagine they will make it down this way at some point. I'm guessing they do another Tour De Columbus in late 2019. Seems unlikely that they would do festival dates before their main tour though so I might have to count them out for Bunbury 2019 Yeah, their tour is this year. Not next year. So Bunbury is certainly in the mix in 2019. Some bands will play a warm up show or two before the real start of their tour. Especially after a year hiatus. That is kind of what I was thinking when I said that they may throw in a home town (or near hometown) show before the tour starts. Vampire Weekend has been doing that this year. Throwing a couple shows here and there to warm back up. Though their hiatus has been a little longer.

Travis Barker cannot catch a break, he was involved in a pretty serious car wreck yesterday though it seems he’s okay. Rough month for him.

Also anyone at forecastle give us your thoughts on the fest! I think Joel is there, and it looks like a lot of fun

Also anyone at forecastle give us your thoughts on the fest! I think Joel is there, and it looks like a lot of fun Talk about timing. Sitting here waiting for Arcade Fire in a great spot, passing the time. The festival is fantastic. I hate to say it but I like it way better than Bunbiry as a festival experience. Hopefully Bunbury will continue to make improvements and get there one day. Special mention of the large beautifully air conditioned Bourbon Experience tents. Super nice people, tons of food booths and trucks, tons of bars. I’ve never had to wait more than five to ten minutes in a line. Lots of shade, a nice long fountain where you can cool off with your feet in the water. Like i said, just a top notch festival experience all along. The music has been great. Special recognition to AJR, Spencer Lee, Colony House, Trampled By Turtles, Modest Mouse, Jason Isbell,Houndmouth, Father John Misty, Margo Price, Vance Joy, Jenny Lewis, and The War On drugs. All were phenomenal! Hopefully Arcade Fire closes out the weekend right!

Funny I didn’t realize how much I like the lineup until yesterday and it was far too late for me to go. How did arcade fire do?

Who runs Forecastle?
I LOVE the idea of that stage under the overpass. Wish Bunbury would expand a bit and do something like that.

Who runs Forecastle? I LOVE the idea of that stage under the overpass. Wish Bunbury would expand a bit and do something like that. It is “co-produced” with AC Entertainment who run Bonnarroo. I assume the other half of that is the local guy who started the festival based on Wiki. You can actually stand under the overpass and hear both main stages as well as one of the side stages which is actually set under the overpass. As for Chet’s question, Arcade Fire was incredible! I admit though that I am a huge fan and this was my first time seeing them so I might be a little biased, but they didn’t let me down at all. They were amazing! Also I didn’t mention Courtney Barnett. I’m.a little sad I didn’t get to see her, but my wife is a huge Courtney fan and we had the perfect spot for Arcade Fire, so I let her go watch courtney while I saved our spot. My wife said she was amazing and from other word of mouth she seemed to be the talk of the festival. Hopefully Bunbury can pull her in next year.

Doesn't seem like somebody who should be too difficult to get. Especially since they won't likely have to contend with Forecastle for him next year.

Vance Joy is a good way to bridge the gap between indie crowds and more casual music fans, because I think he’s liked in both circles. I have some really big edm friends and they say Chromeo is a good booking

They look great live I wouldn’t mind them coming to bunbury at all. I’ve also heard great things about Courtney Barnett as well Did you catch war on drugs or Houndmouth? overpass stage seems like a cool concept but Jesus would that just add to the traffic bc the only bridge on festival grounds for bunbury is right in the middle of the bottlenecking.

Chromeo is a top 3 concert I've ever been to. Their production is "big" with it actually being a small scale. And every song is pretty much a sing a long.

Glad to hear good things about the 2 most recent additions. I admittedly have never heard of Chromeo but my friends went to see Vance Joy when he was in Columbus a few months back and liked the show.

Sitting here at work on this fine Tuesday and I’m thinking would it help the river stage if they literally just scooted it back towards the river? It would Create a ton more space for viewers down on the ground and expand seating on the serpentine steps as you could be able to see while further out seems like a good idea to me does it hold any water? I think there’s a good amount of room behind the stage

I think there’s a good amount of room behind the stage My only thought is maybe they truly did underestimate the number of people coming to that stage this year. They had a solid 25 feet behind the stage but maybe there is a certain distance they have to be from the water? Even moving 10 feet back would easily add a few hundred more viewers.

My first year was 2015, and that’s really weird to hear. Also since I’ve been going there’s been 4 stages so hearing there used to be six stages has me scratching my head trying to find out where

Okay started listening to Chromeo and I can’t get into it. So say that the witch hunt list is the top 7 acts. 4 out of 7 acts I’d definitely want to see, and I’d still check out Chromeo and Marshmello just to see it (I’m not a fan of either really but I think edm shows are just pretty cool to watch so if they’re there then what the hell) so that’s not a bad top 7 for me at all. Still thinking that they’ll sub Panic for twenty one pilots bc those are two pretty interchangeable acts as far as fanbases go and Panic already hits Cincinnati in January while tip doesn’t go near it

Just with those top 3 lines. And I think those acts are all very attainable for Promowest.

As much as I would like to take credit for orchestrating the market research by giving out leaks to gauge interest, I do not at all get that vibe from my source haha. Plus...this forum does not really get that many people

Chance the rapper released some new songs, I’m sure he’ll being touring 2019 and that guy is not shy with festivals. Could certainly see him playing. One of the few rappers I really don’t mind listening to I think it’d be a fun show

One of the few rappers I really don’t mind listening to I think it’d be a fun show As I've stated many times, I'm not a fan of rap but that guy isn't bad. I'd take him over a lot of other rap choices. Something else I want to throw out there, my sources know I'm not a EDM or Rap fan so the likelihood of getting leaks around those genres is pretty low. They generally only tell me about shows that they know I like.
