Figured I would give this a run since virtually all Bunbury talk is dead

I am certainly interested in this lineup. But a lot of time Forecastle gets a little too alternative/folky for me but here is to hoping they can pick up the pieces in our music festival wants and needs haha!

Still no word on lineup release? Still thinking it will coincide with Arctic Monkey's announcement?

Still no word on lineup release? Still thinking it will coincide with Arctic Monkey's announcement? All is quiet that I can see. Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone thinks Arctic Monkeys are coming to Forecastle every year? haha

I went to Forecastle last year and loved it. To be honest it's a better run more people friendly festival than Bunbury is. Of course they have been doing it a lot longer than Bunbury. No idea how long it took them to get to be a mostly well oiled machine.
Last year's lineup was pretty much tailor made for me. I don't expect the same thing this year, but if it's half as good I will probably make the trek down.

Arctic Monkeys/Avett Bros/The Raconteurs/ Kacey Musgraves Hozier/Judah+the Lion/Foals/ Grouplove/ Tyler Childers
Something like that is what I'm thinking, although I still believe Twenty One Pilots is a still possible due to the fact there is no Louisville tour date and they were ruled out by Whit's source very early on.

This seems really possible. I wouldn't be surprised if you have 6 or 7 of these 9 names right.

I think Forecastle missed the chance to come out strong after the Bunbury lineup to get people excited. I just don’t understand.

I’m holding out hope that they are trolling everyone (acknowledging that there are people who maybe excited for Midland) and then dropping fire.

I'm really hoping this festival does not start turning into a country festival. A little bit here or there is fine, and folk rock/bluegrass is fine by me as well. But I know they had a lot of success with both Sturgill Simpson and Chris Stapleton the last few years so I'm thinking we may see the lineup go further in that direction...

If it goes country, I'll just be taking a meaty trip to Louisville that weekend just 'cause...
It's the one genre I can't get into. I don't mind rap, but I don't want to see 96% of rappers live... but yeah. If there are a lot of country acts I'll be bummed.

Last year's first and last Clues were country too. Probably nothing to worry about.

I must say, I do like that the Captain's Clues are more concrete and 100% able to be confirmed fairly easily.

In fact I'm almost certain they were there a few years back. I'd call them a lock. Good booking.

Rapper. I’m not familiar, but a quick wiki search says he was xxxtentacion’s roommate. I still need to listen. Stupid work getting in the way He's really good if you like hip-hop. His album from last year, Tattoo, is a concept album about him finally dealing with all the trauma of his youth ( he was molested, his brother was killed, and he grew up among violence and poverty). He's in for a big year.
