Rapper. I’m not familiar, but a quick wiki search says he was xxxtentacion’s roommate. I still need to listen. Stupid work getting in the way He's really good if you like hip-hop. His album from last year, Tattoo, is a concept album about him finally dealing with all the trauma of his youth ( he was molested, his brother was killed, and he grew up among violence and poverty). He's in for a big year. For those who haven’t been to Forecastle before, they typically put acts like Denzel on their Ocean stage which is under an overpass. It’s a pretty cool place to see acts in a more intimate place. Only issue is that this is also typically where the high schoolers hang out.

Yes, there and Party Cove, but both spots are fairly secluded from the rest of the festival. The nice thing about the overpass is being able to catch a set completely out of the sun. Its a cool idea.

New hint is up. I think its chromeo. Not sure though.

Definitely Chromeo. I'm not big on many electronic acts, but I dig them. They are a bit funkier than many of their counterparts.
Hoping there are clues over the weekend and we don't stop at just three, but either way we will know Monday.

Chromeo is a step in the right direction...i'm intrigued
Edit: Ok, now I'm seriously considering Forecastle after looking at some hotel airbnb options...
Tickets run pretty much the same that Bunbury is right?

Do we know how often Forecastle Clues come out? It seems like 1 a day, which is a much better pace than Bunbury. Lineup drops Monday right?

So far we have one each country, hip-hop, and electronic, so prob 2 rock acts. Nice that they are using the Clues to showcase the genre variety.

I came up with some really good deals last year using hotwire.com. You can’t see the hotel that you were getting for sure but you can see where it is in location to the park and you can sometimes deduce what hotel it’s going to be but you can get really good deals that way. You also get the pic by star level and you can see the amenities from the hotel if you care about those. So you’re not going in completely blind you just don’t know the name of the hotel you’re getting for sure.

It’s about a 10 minute walk to the festival and located close to a White Castle and liquor store.

It’s looking like there are plenty of Hotel and Airbnb options still available AND i completely forgot about Woodstock 50. We have zero clue on pricing for that right?

I always get VIP at bunbury because I like not being packed into a small area, and having a bit more space (minus the freak thunderstorm last year where the VIP packed under the tent like sardines and the normal crowd looked at us through the fence while getting rained on lol).. But for the most part I feel like it makes the festival experience a little more chill. Is it completely not worth it at forecastle? Are there any perks?

This “Who?” thing was played out well over 48 years ago. It’s not clever, cute, or funny anymore. That naturally includes the first time you said it. With that said, I think i’m cancelling my AirBnB. Will see Monday at 10am.

Like MOST festivals with VIP, it’s a cash grab. CleNer bathrooms — that’s the only perk. If that’s worth an extra $100 a day to you, have at it. I’d rather be getting wasted.

But maybe Google is a better method than asking who.

Not picking fights at all. “Who?” comes off as nothing more than a pretentious, passive-aggressive, inane comment.
Say “Wow, this lineup is shit so far.” like a normal person.
I’m all for music discovery but I’d think most of us can agree these hints so far have been mediocre at best.

I typically find an honest breakdown from folks on this site is a decent alignment with my taste in music.

The reviews of the performance were mixed. A friend of mine who is more familiar said that her music is pretty good, but slow. So, not sure how she’s going to be live. To be honest none of these four clues have gotten me too excited however each of the acts appear to be acts on the rise within their genre. So far they’ve given us a country, rap, electronic and female act. I’m hoping today they drop something more substantial. I am still holding out hope for the line up.

It’s a pretty broad range of hints and I think 4 acts (I like Denzel Curry and Chromeo, chromeo is fun live) on the lower end of the lineup is way too quick to call this lineup shitty. We’ll see tomorrow, but I’m not going to try and get to excited for this one bc we saw how that went with Bunbury

Of the 4 clues so far the only one I definitely wouldn’t see is Midland. I wish they provided clues for acts higher up. Last year Courtney Barnett was a clue. I’m still very hopeful.

Per a random person on Reddit, the headliners will be The Killers, Avett Bros, and Anderson Paak.
