Howdy ya'll. I play rec hockey, and last night my source subbed for our team so I got a little more info but really nothing great. However, I did promise to report anything that I could get. 1) Hive hints - it's no surprise, but there's absolutely no plan to release 10 hints this year. I asked if our guesses so far were correct and they simply said "I don't know"...which is not very helpful lol 2) Media outlets - The media does in fact have the full finalized lineup in their hands as of mid-day yesterday. Expect to start seeing some rumors/leaks coming shortly. 3) MCR - While I did not get the full story, my source confirmed that MCR was in fact booked but they pulled out "recently". My source also promised that they would tell me the full story about what happened after the lineup releases . 4) Headliners - I was told this year was the most they've ever had top billed acts added/dropped. We apparently have had 8 different "headliners" and the final one wasn't secured until this Sunday. I asked if this was what all the silence was about coming out of PW and all I got was "ehhhh not really" Considering the original headliner leaks made me not want to go, I guess I'm more hopeful now. Please let us get some leaks today... |

Yea thats kind of a bummer. Im not getting my hopes up anymore. We all know what happens when bands end up pulling out late. In our experience bunbury just shifts the lineup to make it seem like they have headliners and not actually replace them. i guess we will see, |

This is exactly why I still won't buy early bee tickets. I wanna see that poster directly from Promowest before I give them any money haha. I am super pumped to hear the story about what happened with MCR though. My assumption is they didn't realize their comeback would have this demand and they're going on a tour where they'll make a lot more money

Last year was a huge bust. and with the Hype about how much money they spent this year i feel like they need to put out a rediculous lineup after firefly and gov ball dropping those. Or it could just be godawful LOL who knows |

My assumption is they didn't realize their comeback would have this demand and they're going on a tour where they'll make a lot more money If they pulled out that recently it means the headliner tour they just announced was probably planned with festival radius clauses in mind and there are going to be huge gaps - hopefully those gaps will be filled in on a second leg of tour. I saw this (MCR dropping) coming but I'm crushed anyway. |

Man I've never been like a HUGE fan of MCR but hearing how they backed out here and probably other places and just this weird roll out of a tour...they haven't won me over as a fan.
Very interesting to hear what the options are now that people have dropped out. I mean, Billie was a stretch to begin with and MCR we knew could be flimsy. I want to know who the others were that dropped out, it'll be kind of neat to see a "what was going to be" vs. "what we got" scenario.
Maybe this is something that's happening all across the board and that's why a few festivals put their stuff out a little later than we expected (Gov's Ball, Boston Calling, Firefly) and even someone like Forecastle hasn't even done clues or anything really yet.

Ok, wow. So shoutout to WHit for coming through with some info. Sadly, it sounds like everything we thought we knew about headliners can go out the window. I'm going to speculate here and say Billie is the another headliner they had who dropped. Here's to hoping for a leak soon!!
