This lineup is pretty disappointing, IMO. I've never seen Portugal or Trombone Shorty, and would like to. Saw Walk the Moon and Third Eye Blind at Bunbury, and don't care for them. If I go, it will mostly be because I haven't been to a festival in 3 years and just want to be at one. Tickets don't go on sale until Friday, so I have time to discuss with my GF before pulling the trigger. So many of these acts I never heard of are pop acts. On a positive, I listened to a few Vindys songs last night, and I like them. I really like what I’ve heard from The Vindys as well.

Agreed with everyone, disappointed in the lineup. I've seen PtM like 3 times in 2019 (they happened to be at 2 of the festivals I went to along with their normal tour) so they don't do anything for me, AJR is for the kids, Walk the Moon would be fun but I could take em or leave em, and does Third Eye Blind really have that type of cashe they once did at this point?
*Hoooooooooow did they not secure Glass Animals man. Please somehow swing them for Wonderbus.
If AJR didn't put Columbus on a wordfind but put other cities, I wonder if they just aren't booked this go around with Columbus? That lineup comes out in just a week so it isn't too far away really. It would make sense for them to differentiate the lineups since the cities aren't that far away but remains to be seen if they did that.
If I lived in Cleveland I think I would probably still go for the sake of going to a live show honestly, but I wouldn't travel for that one.

If I lived in Cleveland I think I would probably still go for the sake of going to a live show honestly, but I wouldn't travel for that one. I'm torn. I live in Akron/Canton, but have a cancellable hotel booked already. Part of me says pass after seeing how much weaker the lineup is compared to last year. Another part of me thinks it's worth going to a festival again, even if it was just a few guys on stage blowing kazoos with their bums.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the price go up, on top of being a weaker lineup?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the price go up, on top of being a weaker lineup? That is what I immediately thought also. Those are like Bunbury prices all the sudden, when at least in 2019 they were definitely lower. I'm not sure what people got them for presale last year before everything shut down.

Those were single day tickets, right? I checked, and I paid $366 a piece for VIP, before eventually getting a refund. That wasn't too far from Bunbury prices already. If I buy tickets on Friday, pretty sure I'm going $159 each for GA.

Nope, for the whole weekend. These were the early bird special prices. I messaged some guy on Instagram who was selling and bought them back in FEB 2020. Didn’t want to worry about a refund as they were paid on his credit card.

Just checked, it was 150.12, so 75.06 I paid for the weekend pass. About 85 dollars cheaper than this year.
I checked their Twitter and they tweeted this NOV 2019.
Early Bird Tickets ON SALE NOW. Full Weekend only $65 til Monday. $85 starting Monday and $110 when we announce lineup. Kids only $15. Save $45 on adult passes, buy now -www.wonderstruckfest.com and Eventbrite.com.
Biggest lineup yet will be announced in January.

Damn, that was cheap. Not sure when we'll see "discount" tickets like that again. Won't be this year. Personally, I don't have a problem with $159 for GA 2-day passes this year. They're going to have to make up for reduced capacity somehow.

I wouldn't pay $160 for GA for that lineup though. $50 is a huge difference for a festival that's only two days.

Wonderbus's instagram posted the Cleveland lineup and then said "If you think this is good, wait until next Tuesday when we unveil the Wonderbus lineup. OMG!"
Which obviously is likely just them pumping up the lineups in general since they are both put on by the same company and likely use the same PR firm or social media person, but it has me curious. Especially if ticket prices are the same.
Did they put out those lineup hints on Sunday?

EDC Las Vegas gave themselves a deadline of today to make a decision about going ahead in May or pushing to October. Yesterday they listed a ton of jobs on Indeed and Workday, some positions mentioning that travel in May is required. So it looks like that might be a go. Should be interesting to say the least.

We decided against WonderStruck and cancelled the hotel. As much as I want to go to a festival, there are no big draws in the headliners, and most of the undercard is poppy and not for us. Hoping to be forced to choose between Bunbury and WonderStruck in 2022.

Looks like EDC Vegas is a GO for May. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out and if they do anything specifically different due to the pandemic. I’d imagine they’ll stream it like they have in previous years so it’ll be easy to find out.

I don't think I've seen anyone mention this from a Cincinnati Enquirer article a week or two ago. Sounds like there isn't any consideration for a 2021 reschedule, but more importantly the 2022 festival might be downsized to take place at Ovation:
In January, with the state of the upcoming summer tour season in doubt, it was clear to Scott Stienecker that he wouldn’t be able to book headliners for this year’s edition of Bunbury, so he pulled the plug. And now it’s to be determined as to whether the festival will ever return as we knew it. Stienecker, the CEO of PromoWest Promotions, is deciding if Bunbury will continue at Sawyer Point or if he’ll move it to Ovation in Newport. “We’re looking at doing Bunbury in 2022,” he says. “We have to look and make a decision. Do we want to do the big Bunbury festival, or maybe do we scale it down and do it at the facility?”

But I would imagine that means the acts and everything associated with it will be very scaled down. Although they did a great job booking CD102.5 Day back in the day so we’ll see.

Wonderbus has posted a photo on fb hyping up the lineup that appears to heavily hint at Panic! At the Disco. If that’s the case, that’s a HUGE step up in headliners from acts like Walk the Moon or PTM. Panic! Has headlined major festivals and dine arena tours. I hope they didn’t just book two big headliners and a weak undercard, like MoPop did a few years back

The undercard here is great. Smallpools, Absofacto, Dreamers, Band Camino, Peach Tree Rascals, St. Paul, The Knocks. Plus, I love Grouplove. Too bad I’ll be missing this one. Way better than Wonderstruck.

If this had been the WonderStruck lineup, I would be going. I saw Wilco once at Akron Civic, and they were incredible. Not sure how they are for a festival, because it's definitely musicianship over showmanship, but I'd be going. We can't do the last week of August due to a vacation the following weekend. Bummer.

Way better than Wonderstruck. Yes, that undercard is DEEP. I think 2019 only had about 4 bands each day I knew. This is much deeper. Very much an “Alt Nation” undercard, which is fine by me.

Kesha is great. She gets a bad rep from some people for the party girl pop "character" she debuted with, but she's got some great chops and she puts on a very good show.

Wonderbus tickets purchased. 2 tickets were pricey but the hell with it, first music festival in a year and a half and a short Uber drive away!
