seeing king gizzard there leads me to believe there’s a faaaat chance they make an appearance at riot fest. I’S IS READY FOR YAS. i need live music ffs You could be right, but they already have a Chicago date on the schedule in October. Doesn't mean it won't happen. I've got their Asheville date marked on my calendar for the end of October.

It's the last day of March! April is here. That means more lineups are right around the corner (at least LtL and INK). I have little insight as to who will 100% be playing, but I like to think that I am pretty good at putting the pieces together. Here are some final guesses: Louder than Life: Headliners will Most likely consist of Metallica, System of a Down, Green Day, and a smaller for the Thursday like Korn or Faith No More. The co-headliners will probably be Deftones, Judas Priest, Puscifer, and Korn (If SOAD plays). Other notable bands that will likely be there include Flogging Molly, Rise Against, The Offspring, Royal Blood, Anthrax, Body Count, Jimmy Eat World, Cypress Hill, The Pretty Reckless, Killswitch Engage, and more obviously. *That being said, I could easily see MCR replacing Green Day, FFDP being Thursday, and maybe Foo Fighters instead of SOAD.* Inkarceration: I have less confidence in predicting the bands for INK. Headliners will likely be Five Finger Death Punch, Limp Bizkit, and Shinedown? Korn will be there if they aren't at LtL. Blink could come back I suppose but they'd just cancel. Mudvayne will be there as a big ticket seller, just not as a headliner. The middle-card will be very similar to LTL. Expect the likes of Cypress Hill, KSE, Body Count, Flogging Molly, etc. The further undercard will be different for the two festivals. Really no guarantees as to what they'll look like. I think LtL will have some of the more up-and-coming artists as there's more space to fill. I am predicting that I get at least one band right! That LTL lineup seems pretty close to guesses for 2020, and like we've seen from Roo, rebooking is a crapshoot. I don't know if I'd be thrilled or devastated if MCR replaced Green Day...I know the chances of both aren't very high since they will probably lean heavier.

The band is kinda popping up on every type of festival right now which means they are actively seeking that business. I think it’s likely one of the two fests gets them. MCR prediction is based on the October booking and the high demand for them. I’d say it’s less likely than Green Day though. The 2020 lineup would’ve been very similar to the 2021 lineup I think.

I can see them having one night with a less heavy headliner but maybe not 2... but who knows? This year is anything goes. I can't see MCR on Ink, that fest seems too small for a headliner who sold out 4 arena shows in a single city. But I know it's grown since I last attended. Ink just posted "Lineup coming in a couple weeks!" so we'll have to wonder a while longer. For what it's worth, I'm very actively rooting for both Green Day and MCR. I might combust, though.

I know it's in Louisville so it's potentially close enough to the city for hotel/airbnb action.

Wonderstruck posted some hints on their Facebook and Instagram account. I think Walk the Moon and AJR are headliners, but I could be wrong lol.

The other headliner could be just about anyone, but I am hoping it is Portugal. the Man again this year as well. The #2 on Saturday could very well be Third Eye Blind again, not sure who the hint for Sunday's #2 is referring to. "America's Biggest Band in 2021" seems very vague. Fairly certain the "Nashville Royalty" hint is in reference to Brittany Howard, who was on the lineup last year in a similar position, and given that she's on several other lineups already this year, she's a safe bet.

What size is WonderStruck? I’d really dig going to another small festival on top of Riot Fest.. especially if it’s smaller. Is it comparable to Mo Pop to those who have been?

I've been to its sister festival, WonderBus. They are bout the same size, although I'm not 100% sure what to expect as WonderStruck was previously LaurelLive, and at a different location. I really love the size of Wonderbus. It's pretty small, less than 10k a day, but plenty of room to move around and things to see and do. I think MoPop is a fair comparison, though MoPop's lineups have featured bigger headliners in recent years. I'll be very happy if we get PTM and Walk the Moon for WonderStruck. I was hoping to have Of Monsters and Men again, but none of the hints really point to them, and given on going covid issues, I am doubtful we'll see too many international artists

Lol I could have sworn back in 2019 or early 2020 we speculated how AJR was a perfect act for this festival because of how they were positioning themselves as being family friendly. I think on Alt-Nation or some countdown show recently they mentioned how "Bang!" is like a looooooong running countdown hit. I could see them being the biggest band in 2021 or something. I don't agree but I can see how they'd say that if they are going by numbers. We know it isn't like BTS or something.

Wow going back and looking, they gave a lot of hints out there. The comments on the FB post seem to be pretty on to a lot of them. Someone guessed Glass Animals, which I would LOVE but I don't want to get my hopes up for that.

As long as they’re in that second slot and not the headliner, I’m okay with that. REALLY hoping the Sunday headliner is still PTM. I’d also love to have Saint Motel back but I don’t see a hint that jumps out as them.

Are they considered alternative? I know they are on Alt-Nation occasionally and their countdown but I feel like they are more pop than alternative? Who knows, I have like no grasp of what the pop charts look like these days unfortunately. I'm not as into AJR so maybe that's why I'm being kind of reluctant to call them the #1 alternative act lol

Just noticed that in January and February (presumably when they were booking new lineup) Wonderstruck updated their FB cover photo twice; once with a past performance from Foster the People, and one with AJR. Could be reading too much into it but that could fit the top two slots on Sunday

AJR may be reason enough for me to skip WonderStruck ... unless Glass Animals, Third Eye Blind, and Walk the Moon were there. Well, two of those three are there. No Glass Animals. Just glad AJR is not headlining. I think I’m going to go, but the undercard is a real let down from last year. That being said for a festival of its size, the undercard was surprisingly deep last year compared to previous years so it set the bar really high. But the subtraction of Of monsters And men, Saint Motel, Brittany Howard and Atlas Genius are real let downs. And the replacements for them are meh

This lineup is pretty disappointing, IMO. I've never seen Portugal or Trombone Shorty, and would like to. Saw Walk the Moon and Third Eye Blind at Bunbury, and don't care for them. If I go, it will mostly be because I haven't been to a festival in 3 years and just want to be at one. Tickets don't go on sale until Friday, so I have time to discuss with my GF before pulling the trigger.
So many of these acts I never heard of are pop acts. On a positive, I listened to a few Vindys songs last night, and I like them.

They’re good enough, but not headline material ... just boring. BUT not alt-j boring. 3eb is also an average at best live show, but I see them every time they’re in town regardless. The last time I saw them I think was actually their best performance I’ve seen.

I agree, I think it’s very disappointing compared to last year. Last year, I was excited to see Of Monsters and Men, Saint Motel, Atlas Genius, Airborne Toxic Event, Matt Maeson, Brittany Howard, and The Regrettes. Those were replaced with AJR, Dayglow, and a bunch of other pop acts. I’ll see if Bunbury, Railbird, or Bellwether are doing anything, if so, I may sell my tickets.
