For anyone on the fence about checking out the Young The Giant/Fitz and the Tantrums show, I saw them last night in Indy and highly, highly urge you to go see it!! Phenomenal tour lineup and all three bands were excellent. Plus, by far the best lighting/visual show I've ever seen from a tour this size. Extremely impressive.

During the break before the encore last night, I was legit checking the date for the Columbus show to see if I could swing it, but unfortunately not. Fitz was fantastic, and I actually won a radio station promotion and met them, very cool people. But damn, YTG was PHENOMENAL. I was worried they might phone it in because they moved the venue due to whether and then storms delayed their set even longer, but they didn't miss a beat. I was extremely impressed, I think it was even better than Bunbury.

I am excited for COIN too, we saw them at A&R 2 years ago and it was really fun. If YTG is anywhere near the level they were at Bunbury that will be an incredible show. I went into them with zero expectations and was having the time of my life last year. This makes me very excited!

I was a little sad they had to shave about 15 minutes off their set, but they worked hard to get as many songs in as possible, and boy were they on it. Again, the lighting/visual aspect was seriously impressive.

COIN was scheduled for 7 but went on a little early, maybe 6:55? There were about 20 minutes between sets. They kept it moving pretty fast until they had to delay Young's set due to lightning.

twenty one pilots are playing us bank on oct 22 People clown them a lot, but honestly they're damn good performers. Went to the Columbus show and they rocked the house. I plan to pick up tickets for this and surprise someone with floor seats

I don't know what everyone else's opinion is but I think US Bank Arena is the absolute WORST venue I've ever been to.
For a minor league hockey team it makes a lot of sense but man, we went to a concert there for a bachelor's party and I thought it was absolutely dreadful to move around the concourse or really figure out what the hell was going on once we walked in.

I agree with you, US Bank is way overdue for a renovation. It’s a really bad arena especially for concerts. It gets brought up in city council meetings all the time to redo US bank but it never happens. Most voters in cincy are pretty anti stadium deals after the bengals committed highway robbery with their stadium though

Most voters in cincy are pretty anti stadium deals after the bengals committed highway robbery with their stadium though I figured that had to be the reason it hasn’t been renovated. Was there for a Reds game on Sunday and we park on the other side of it and even like the signage outside and stuff is run down. I can only imagine what everyone’s opinion of the new soccer stadium down there must be with all the bad stadium deals they’ve gone through. I also saw the Reds were trying to get the county to help pay for a new jumbo screen in left field!

Grouplove is a big favorite of mine and its been almost three years since I first saw them. Supposedly they'll have a new album and tour this fall.

The Avett Brothers announced a post game show after the Reds game on September 7th.
Can someone who has gone to one of these post game concerts give me the rundown?
Like do I have to stay in the seat that I purchased for the game or can I get close to the stage?
Where do they put the stage?
Do I need to buy this field pass thing? Field Box Package - $76
View Level Package - $52
Any tips to make the experience better?

I took the wife to Walk the Moon there once and we got the tickets that let you walk out on the field after the game. You are assigned a section to stand behind during the game around the 7th inning I think and the let you out there after the get the stage set up. Its first come first serve so it is a mad rush to the stage as soon as you get on the field.

My step dad's company has season tickets front row third baseline. If I went to one of these could I just stay in my seat? We tossed around the idea of going to see Zedd there at the end of the month.

You watch the concert from your seat to the Reds game, but plenty people like me will come down and find better seats.

I am not really sure because there are about 4 different lines(sections) you get assigned to so I didn't pay attention if they let our group go before others. I feel like we got the expensive tickets and ended up right in front of the stage but it could have been just luck. We lined up early.

Saw Ra Ra Riot, Jimmy Eat World, and 3eb last night at PNC Pavillion. I was nervous about the crowd, when Jimmy came out it was less than half full. It ended up filling up to about 3/4 for their set. They played all the hits, only 1 new song. New album in October. Wouldn't be shocked if they booked festivals next year. I thought their energy was pretty decent and they talked to the crowd a bit. Played an hour.
3eb rattled off three new songs, two to open the show (bold cotton). They played most of the hits, but did two medley's that were oddly strung together but it at least gave you a taste of some of their more popular album tracks that fans know. No Narcolepsy or Losing a Whole Year, which are always staples. They only played 75 minutes and ended at 10:30, so they could have played the full songs. The set was definitely better than the Bunbury one two years ago. Really good light show IMO. I dunno, I'm such a big fan of the first three albums that I feel like they've kind of lost their sound on the last 4. You could tell the crowd was in the same boat with me. None of the "singles" off the last four albums got much of a response from us.

Check their instagram page for proof. It felt like we were in a hurricane but boy it was awesome. The crowd was dead for their new songs at the beginning of the show but went nuts with their older hits. I fully expect to see jimmy eat world hit the festivals this summer as a good 5pm kind of band. They still have a ton of energy on stage and get the people going
