How is the seating at ICON? About to get HAIM tickets but the seating chart is throwing me off a bit!

I'm going to a show at ICON this Saturday. Unfortunately, that's also the day Bengals are hosting their playoff game. Any tips on where to park/easiest travel methods. I'm not local to Cincinnati but I'm expecting total chaos.

I'm not local to Cincinnati but I'm expecting total chaos. I won't be a lot of help since it's been awhile since I've been down there on a game day for the Bengals. I would think you might have better luck parking across the river and either walking or Ubering to the concert. The game is an afternoon one though so depending on when you plan to get there it might be a bit more tame if you do so while the game is going on vs before it. Definitely give a review of ICON though! I got tickets to HAIM there in May and it's indoors and the only ones I was able to get are like the last row from the top, but some of the pictures I could find made it seem like it's set up in such a unique way that there isn't really a bad seat in the house.

I actually found some parking just a few blocks away. Given, we got there about 20 minutes after the game had started, the traffic wasn't too bad at all. I was going to resort to across the river if I needed to thanks to your advice. ICON was good. Kinda small but it wasn't a problem for us at all. Good viewing from front or back. The seats up top looked nice too. Reminds me of a guitar hero stage lmao. Totally positive experience. Hawthorne Heights was the best IMO if anyone was wondering. "Ohio is for Lovers" hit different right after the Bengals won. Wage War was also excellent as always but I've seen them a few times and it was a first for HH.

This has me excited for the HAIM concert in May. I saw some videos from that concert online and it looks like a really well laid out venue!

Is anybody else going to the IDLES show at Ovation in September. I became a fan when they sold out the Newport.

I'm in Franklin Township, but I'm downtown a lot for work. I'm hoping to catch a deal on wonderroad closer to the event. Sadly I missed the early bird

Anyone going to Foxy Shazam this Saturday in Cincy? I am so unbelievably pumped. One of my favorite underappreciated bands of all time AND it's Super Bowl weekend in my hometown. What a dream.

Has anyone been to the new Promowest Ovation? I’ll be there next week for Beach House. I have been to every show since around November. Since it is new, everything looks very nice. The downstairs is all General Admission with the upstairs being reserved seating and VIP. The sold out shows have premium general admission upstairs. The sound system they have really lets you feel the artist. You have multiple bars setup downstairs along with some food(pizza) in the back of the venue. For parking, you can park underneath the venue in the garage(enter from 4th street). Normally the lots next to the garage(Columbia and Court street) will have parking for half the price of the garage. Most events seem to be charging $10 for garage parking(sold out show though, expect $20 in garage). If you are thinking of getting down there early, you are under a 10 min walk to Newport on the Levee. There are places to eat (Brothers, 5 Guys, Tom and Chee, Brio) and plenty of places to grab a drink (Brothers, Beeline, Wooden Cask, storage unit area(has mixed drinks, West Sixth Brewery, etc)). There is also a bar in between Ovation and Levee called Tavern on York if you want to adventure. I have not been to the Icon yet, but imagine they are comparable. I am looking forward to the outdoor concerts this year at Ovation. Hope this helps and have fun.

I haven’t been to the new Icon one yet. Hopefully I will for Jack White.

Has anyone been to the new Promowest Ovation? I’ll be there next week for Beach House. I was at this show last night! Beach house is great. My first time in the new venue too, really liked how easily accessible the bars were if you’re in general admission I think they did a great job with this place

I really liked the venue as well. I got there around 8 and it took about 15 minutes to get in. The balcony looked neat, I was in the pit on the right side.

Last night was my first time seeing Beach House. I have a question for the fans...The band had a lot of backlighting which made it difficult to actually see them. Is that their normal style or new for this tour? My seats were in the balcony and it was just tough to make out anything but shadows from there. The music was great though.

I was on the Beach House subreddit, and that seems to be a normal occurrence. It was also my first time seeing them, so I can’t attest to previous shows.
