New festival announcement today!! Fingers crossed for a great lineup, wherever it is! oh i forgot already haha! Very excited! Really hoping some of the 2020 Wonderstruck artists that were replaced for 2021 are on this lineup. Of Monsters and Men, Matt Maeson, Brittany Howard, and especially Saint Motel!

This is interesting. Sent the lineup to my GF for her thoughts. I went all the way to Summerfest to see VW, so why not Indy? Also, the timing of the festival is good for my vacation schedule, while their other two are not at all.

I've literally been saying for a long time that there needs to be a large scale festival there. It's perfect. Big, spread out park with several areas, with plenty of room for parking. Less than 5 minutes from Fountain Square, which has tons of great breweries, bars and restaurants. Right on the Red Line bus route. Less than 10 minutes from downtown. Already has a permanent, large amphitheater stage that can accommodate 5,000+ and regularly hosts indie concerts during the summer. Elevation Group is also donating $25k to the park for their local free concert series, which will go a long way to booking good local bands. I'm really excited.

Tickets are only $99.50. That’s a steal. I checked and the Indianapolis Indians play Friday night. I may go Friday and check out the game, and then the festival Saturday and Sunday. Sounds like a great weekend. I’ve only been to Indy once, that was for a UC basketball game at Hinkle. Would love to go back. Sent the info to my friends so hoping to get a group to buy Friday.

Ohhhh that's a terrific idea!! I actually worked at Victory field as game day staff for six seasons during high school/college. They are an absolute blast, and also a great value for your money. And yeah, 100 bucks for two days with a lineup like this is absolutely incredible. Makes me wonder what they have in store for Wonderbus, which is already more developed going into its third year. Might have to pull the trigger on earlybird tickets.

Went to the website looking for VIP pricing and there was no info. I'm too old for GA. Hopefully there is a VIP option.

If Vampire Weeknd and CHVRCHES are on the same day, I’ll probably bite. Already planning on going to Roo the weekend after. How much did they charge for single day tickets for Wonderbus?

I had never listened to Lord Huron before tonight. I'm having a really hard time seeing how they can be a headliner.

That being said, a lot of my friends and acquaintances on social media seem very excited about both Vampire Weekend and Lord Huron as headliners, so they must know their target audience. I know several LH songs and I do enjoy them. That being said, it almost seems like they have left room on the poster for additional headliners or subs to be added, maybe depending on initial ticket sales. Or maybe it really is just a poorly designed poster and I'm reading too much into it.

I'm loving how into this everyone is! Got the board lit up again!
I like this lineup. I'm not a huge VW fan (unpopular opinion) but a lot of the other stuff I like, especially CHVRCHES and Bishop Briggs. Definitely going to weight my options.
Right now we are slated for almost a concert a month for the 6 months a year. Which saying out loud sounds crazy but we missed a year and a half of them so what better way to make up for lost time!

Right now we are slated for almost a concert a month for the 6 months a year. Which saying out loud sounds crazy but we missed a year and a half of them so what better way to make up for lost time! I like a good 4 or 5 VW songs, and they're a pretty sizeable headliner for this new fest, so I'm happy about it. I do wish they had someone a little bit bigger as the second headliner, like PTM, Cage, Young the Giant, someone like that. But like I said, it's probably not out of the question for another headliner to be added. I have a lot of friends who are REALLY excited about this and have seen that same level of excitement all over social media. Garfield Park/Fountain Square/Bates Hendricks neighborhoods are all nearby, and are made up of the perfect target demo for this event, and they're definitely amped. I also love the fact that this one is co-produced by MOKB Presents, a long running local, independent concert promoter here in Indy, and that tickets will be sold in person at the Hi-Fi box office, which is another small, local, independent venue. The lineup also includes several local bands and Elevation donated 25k to the park to allow them to book more local bands for free concerts this summer. I really love that they are doing this the right way, and involving the people who have been laying the foundation for an event like this to be possible.

If they were to add a bigger headliner and push Huron to the second line, that might put me over the edge. My GF and I have decided to wait and see the Wonderstuck lineup before choosing. That announcement should be soon, right? Pretty sure it was December last year.

MOKB just announced the Avett Brothers are playing at Garfield Park this summer as well! That's a huge get for the park, the biggest concert they've booked their yet. Glad to see there is now a viable mid-size competitor to the Live Nation venues that dominate Indy.

VIP tickets are $425 each. That's more than 3 days of Bunbury cost. Kind of absurd.

Not thrilled I missed earlybird, but this festival is right down the street from me, so there's no way I'm missing that. The FOMO from all my friends going would be too much.

That's awesome their early bird sales so out so quickly! Clearly Elevation knows what they are doing targeting these markets and not trying to overdo it right off the bat with these festivals but starting small and getting the hang of things before potentially going bigger.
I was also thinking over the weekend...last year Forecastle announced Memorial Day Weekend 2022 dates for their festival but it's been absolutely crickets from them so far, and with most festivals announcing lineups and selling tickets, it's a bit off that one that is only 5 months away hasn't done anything yet......

Yeah, the radio silence does not seem like a good sign. They actually just posted on social media for the first time in five months yesterday, but it was just to promote the homecoming tour Jack Harlow is doing. I would think we'd get a lineup this month. I'm definitely getting a bit nervous, I really don't want to lose this festival too.

Speak of the devil, Forecastle just added an event page with the 2022 dates on Facebook and said that more news will be coming soon! I am hoping for a good lineup, the 2020 one fell kinda flat for me. The headliners seemed kinda boring, and no one stood out as "the big one" that they typically get.
