Ugh. $28 after fees for Bad Books at Ticketmaster. Is it any cheaper to by day of, onsite? It's actually more on the day of the show according to their website. It's $19 advance and $23 day of show Ugh

The Reddit folk are claiming that there are roughly 20 tents parked out in McPherson Commons for the Twenty One Pilots concert NEXT WEEK! Is this true? That is absolutely insane if that is real.

I saw those people on Sunday when I was there to see avett brothers and I thought it was just a homeless hangout. The real questions is how to fuck do people not have to work for an entire week?

I wonder if the floor is just GA? I know it's not as common anymore but I would think for the fanbase and ticket sales 21P has, it would be pretty easy to fill the GA floor section of just about any/all of their shows. The thing about that is like, you camp over a week to see a band you love and then you spend the entire concert with your neck craned up while on the rail and miss all of the production of the show just to say you were close to touching one of their hands or get sweat on lol.

I have been to many many GA floor shows at Nationwide and the Schott and even when it's completely sold out, you can stand about 1/3 of the way back from the stage and have no one behind you lol. People just pack in the front so hard that the floor looks empty

There are about a dozen tents on the street outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse here in Indy for the show Friday. I drove by this morning so I don't know how long they've been there. The venue says they'll start the actual line on their property at 6 AM Friday.
Aside from getting close to the stage, apparently people camp out in hopes of the band coming and meeting them. I have a friend who did that for another show. She said Tyler and Josh typically stop by the day before if they're already in town and meet the people camped out. I haven't seen her since before the show she camped out for, so no idea if they actually stopped by.

Not sure if any of you guys saw what happened during their tour de columbus last year, but people were lining up a week before each show at each venue. They sent out emails saying that lines were not allowed to form until the morning of each show and there were people waiting across the street and at 7am HOARDS of people sprinted across the street trying to line up and they caused major traffic jams, stopped all traffic on neil avenue for about an hour, and people were fighting like knuckleheads...it was very entertaining to watch. I took my dad to their show at express live last year (he absolutely loves them) and when we walked in around 6pm there was absolutely nowhere to stand to watch the show. Luckily I saw a friend who let us stand front row on the lawn with them and my dad and I had a blast.

I'll probably roll by Bankers Life tomorrow AM and see what the line looks like just out of curiosity. Bankers Life has been blanketing social media with the rules for the lines. When and where they can form, line etiquette, and camping policies. They worked with the City and IMPD to find a good place for the campers and to have an orderly transition from the camping area to the actual line. They seem to be really on top of it, I am impressed.

Georgia St has all the bars and restaurants on it, so they reconfigured it for the Super Bowl festivities to include a large "boardwalk" of sorts in the median so they can hold events on it. Its regularly shut down for festivals and other events, and when its not, traffic is super light on it and its pedestrian friendly. That's where everyone is lining up and camping at. Without that, it'd probably be chaos.

Heard from a friend at TOP. She said that there were about 200 or so people in line at 6 AM. They are giving out numbered wristbands so people can save their spots in line and return later in the day. Folks are encouraged to arrive again by 4:00 so they can form the line in the correct order.

The three of us walked into Nationwide as Bear Hands came on and we were still able to get within 20 feet of the barrier

I wish the news would have interviewed these people in line to get an idea of what their reasoning for camping out all week was. I also noticed a TON of fans at ComFest yesterday. I wonder now much money those Ned shirts where, because I saw probably a hundred of them for the few hours we were there yesterday. I dunno how it would have gone over but it would have been cool if those guys would have played like a surprise saturday afternoon set at Comfest or something. They are from Columbus so it would have gone along with kind of the guidelines to be a performer you'd think.

Yeah we went to comfest and a few breweries before the show and people were decked out in yellow duct tape and band shirts more than anything I have ever seen before. I think it would've been sweet to have them do something like this but I have to imagine security would be the biggest concern. Their young teenage girl fans are absolutely ridiculous Even funnier was when they lowered a bridge over the crowd and they walked to the stage in the back, a ton of girls ran from the main barricade to the back barricade and then started crying when they were unable to get back to their spot at the main stage. Oh, and you would not believe how many girls were on shoulders trying to reach the bridge lol

If you are looking for something to do on New Years Eve, CAAMP is playing at the Newport Music Hall to ring in the new year the real question is...are you going to go to the CBJ game then straight to the CAAMP show? I might hit up one of those this year. We never do anything and aren't the type to be interested in the big parties the hotels have downtown. I wish more artists have NYE shows like this. Such a great idea.

Kind of related. How do people get up to the upper bowl for Newport? Everytime I go to shows there it's always full already. Is that a VIP area?

It's normal general admission but I tend to find that it fills up very quick around the railing of the upper deck. The VIP area is on the main floor off to the side. There are a few chairs and it's also where the ADA handicap seating is.
