Should I be embarrassed that i've never heard of her? haha i'm not sure honestly? She is big in the dance music scene but wouldn't necessarily have a ton of radio hits. Her stuff is big in clubs but it's pretty hit or miss. For the genre it's a pretty big deal she's coming to the US and somehow Columbus made the cut of the very short tour she is doing.

Never heard of her - is this one of those shows that's gonna sell out instantly? I think it's definitely possible. Show Me Love is easily the biggest radio hit. Came out in 1995. Check it out and I bet you guys will remember it. More recently she's had "Call Your Girlfriend" "With Every Heartbeat" and "Missing U" is her like comeback single last year. She hadn't had an album out since 2010 until last year.

If you guys are fans of Manchester Orchestra, their side band, Bad Books (Andy Hull and Robert McDowell from Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine) they will likely play some Bad Books songs during Kevin Devine's set tomorrow.
My group will be there around 3 and aren't sure what bands to catch before Kevin Devine. Would love to hear some suggestions!

I can't believe they didn't do this at all I have to say I'm impressed with how well Brew Dog handled a festival of that size! Everything was super smooth other than food vendors taking a little long (but around 7pm, that's the normal dinner rush and any food truck festival is packed during that time). Even better was that virtually no brewery on site wanted the beer tokens, they just poured your beer and moved on. We didn't spend a single dollar on beer all day there!

Said the food lines were outrageous at one point but besides that they really enjoyed it!

Oh, I forgot to mention that all the bathrooms were overflowing after the fireworks concluded when Manchester was done. Just seems like they did not get enough facilities for the mass number of people there

Went to Phantogram and Bob Moses last night and both would be very good additions to any festival really. Phantogram's production was much bigger than I would have anticipated and visually was very appealing. Bob Moses was definitely a different experience than their DJ sets and songs on the radio. They did a lot of transitions into the next song and as the show went on their production kept adding more elements to it. I felt like I was watching a new-aged version of Nine Inch Nails minus the R-rated lyrics. It was pretty spectacular. People around us who hadn't heard of them before were getting VERY into it by the end. I think they made a lot of new fans last night. Hopefully they will swing through Newport at some point in the next year.

Not as good as Manchester Orchestra and The Front Bottoms last year Is Silver Sun Pickups having a resurgence or something? It feels weird to me they would be a headliner over K.Flay, who I feel like is kind of everywhere right now and feels more relevant? I've wanted to see K.Flay for awhile so I might just grab tickets for them and then leave.

I've seen them twice before as openers and they pretty decent but I think the headliner is a touch much for them. Hopefully I am wrong though. I don't expect this show to sell out

Went to the Black Keys and Modest Mouse show last night.
Modest Mouse actually had an awesome show. Isaac did not appear to be too messed up and they played a great setlist. My group had tickets in the upper bowl and couldn't hear a damn thing so we walked down onto the floor since the place was maybe 60% full and the sound was still TERRIBLE. There was an unbelievable amount of crunchy echo that everyone was complaining about. Even in the beer and bathroom lines it was all anyone was talking about.
The Black Keys came out and played a tight set of great songs! You could feel a little of their rust from not playing shows for a few years as there were a few times where the band members were out of sync and did a quick pause to get everyone back on the same page but it wasn't bad at all. The worst thing is that the sound was still horrible during their set too. I even walked by the sound board and you could see some of the channels were maxed out in the red for an entire song. Genuinely have no idea what the sound guy was doing.
Overall, this was a great show other than the sound which was probably the worst I've even heard at a venue greater than 500 people.

That's brutal about the sound. Sure fire way to dull down a concert when the sound engineer isn't doing a good job. Think they'd be worth a slot this time around on Bunbury based on the show? I don't know that they would book Black Keys AND Vampire Weekend to headline but I know they Black Keys have in the past.

Truthfully, I was excited to see them but I would not have cared if I missed the show. After leaving, I gained a whole new appreciation for them! They're great live! I would imagine that since this tour did not sell super well, that Bunbury could pick them up on the cheap.
